A lot, you can read about them all here. It seems many were actually conducted by USADA, but it’s not clear on all of them which agency initially conducted the test.
A list of all anti-doping rule violations / sanctions issued by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in its history. Includes athlete & coach sanctions.
Shelby was guilty as hell. It was not a close question.
There is a story here but the story is that the USADA resents and is actively undermining a rival anti-doping agency, and one that actually tried to do its job. You do not need to read between the lines to recognize that USADA seems compromised regarding its supposed anti-doping mission. That hardly makes it different than the sports authorities elsewhere the see their main goal as protecting their nation's athletes from doping charges.
If the USADA feels that strongly they could have done what the UCI did when the French had Armstrong's 1999 blood samples stored and retested years later. It issued a report which truth be told completely eviscerated the original doping report. Don't hold your breath.
Shelby is not listed, so maybe this list is only for USADA-tested sanctions. So then all of these people on this list would be athletes USADA specifically tested and sanctioned.
Travis Tygart led USADA while giving Galen Rupp 300 drug tests and all of them came back clean. The USADA also have Lance Armstrong numerous drug tests and never one tested positive, only Floyd Landis' big mouth spilled the beans. I think Travis Tygart should shut up and the USADA be disbanded as being as corrupt as the Russians and British Cycling.
Agree. Seemed to me the guy had a personal vendetta against Lance. What a pointless persecution of a guy who (a) was likely doping like every other contender was likely doping and (b) put cycling on the map in the US and was an inspirational figure to many.
Did Lance smoke him in a turkey trot once or something?
I'm not sure how many times this has to be pointed out...
Can someone find me the sob story articles on any other banned athletes? How about some banned black athletes or Russian athletes? Shelby is such a phenomenon because this "tiny" white American woman with "striking blue green eyes!" is serving a ban because she BY HER OWN ADMISSION had a banned drug in her body.
A couple notes about the article.
I wonder if Shelby ever got in trouble for wrongdoing as a child. It seems like she fundamentally doesn't understand how it works. "Intent should matterrrrr". Um, how do you prove intent here? She literally thinks that all she has to do is say "I didn't mean to!" and get off the hook. no. not how that works. pathetic.
I know most of running media is awful but can journalists get their basic facts straight? She didn't eat a pork burrito, she ate a carne asada burrito, and she wasn't up front about that.
Printing trashy puff pieces about Shelby treating her like a victim of a system is ridiculous. Travis Tygart didn't explicitly say he supported Shelby just that he was concerned that positive tests can be triggered by other things. He never specified if this would be possible in Shelby's case. There wasn't a trace amount of nandrolone in her test.
I can't believe that paragraph on Tygart is just mentioned in there pretty far down and without specifics.
That is potentially a HUGE story and we need to see actual quotes. Very strange that the author just summarized such a key point 7 paragraphs into it.
I think what's strange is that he said Tygart supported Shelby, without Tygart actually explicitly saying he supported Shelby. The jounrnalist got several facts wrong and I feel he is twisting Tygart's words.
Where is this woman’s family? Honest to god, she needs an intervention. Even if we pretend she’s totally innocent, how is going broke and refusing to work (other than some minimum wage deliveries) helping her? Why not use her degree, get a decent job and she could still run aimlessly around the track by herself like tons of sub-elites/people not on contract. “She planned on making a living from track” for the rest of her life? She’s not Allyson Felix. She’s a non-medalist in a niche sport who, not to be rude, is not particularly attractive or charismatic or interesting. What would she particularly be offering companies that she would make all this money beyond her salary/incentives which obviously isn’t lifelong wealth. She’s no Simone Biles. She was always going to have to get a job eventually.
In fact, the level of desperation and delusion on display convinces me even more that she’s guilty, since she seems to think she would just become some Olympic champion and cake off it. She seems absolutely crazy in this article.
From the article: "As the world’s elite runners gather in Eugene in mid-July, Houlihan will be at home in Beaverton. The only racing she will be doing is in her car, delivering meals for Uber Eats and DoorDash."
Dang, maybe Houlihan really is innocent if she's having to resort to delivering for Uber Eats and DoorDash now

Also, her tattoos are terrible.
Cheap shots at her appearance and tattoos aside, I agree with this--it is a really good point. Why has she gone a year without getting at least a part time job? She can't be a spin or fitness instructor? She can't be a bank teller? She can't be a life guard, a waitress, or a receptionist? It's crazy to me that she's gone a year without any pay. I get taking a few months to grieve getting caught and recover. But most families would tell her that a job would make herself feel better.
Appearance does matter for endorsements, though. Like it or not, the most attractive/charismatic people are the ones who get more contracts - look at Kournikova. I just don’t see how Houlihan ever thought she was going to make that much money that she wouldn’t need a job eventually anyway.
And getting tattoos while in the throes of a life crisis is a bad idea since you end up getting a giant dementor on your arm.

Colleen Quiqley also fits the above description (non-medalist, not particularly attractive, charismatic or interesting) and she doesn't have a regular job.

Isn't she getting married to a sugar daddy in finance? That's her life plan it seems not that there is anything wrong with that.
This has been my theory with SH all along - she was not doing nandrolone by itself, but ‘stacking’ it with other drugs or taking something else which was contaminated with it. Either way, still guilty and much more believable/plausible than the boar nuts burrito story.

How about a combination of nandrolone + Adderall for the muscle gain of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the energy of a meth junkie at the same time?
Sure they are. Don't post in this thread if you don't think they are relevant.
No, they aren't. She unequivocally tested positive for a banned drug without an acceptable excuse. Unless that process is flawed - it isn't - his opinions are immaterial. Much like yours.

There is no evidence that Rupp is dirty. He has always played by the rules.
BTC on the other hand got caught once so I’m more skeptical of their team than NOP.
