Woodlands lost their #1 and #5 from state too after losing to SLC
I want to make it clear even partial to Southlake that I think Flower Mound girls are the team to beat. their top 3 are amazing and we have to assume they have reloaded strong until we know better. they killed last year, ranked #1 in the preseason, Southlake hasn’t done anything yet.
I wonder how much of a chance the team that gets 3rd at NXR South gets an at-large.
Jesuit LA will be top 3 at NXN based on their 3200 times they had last spring.
Southlake Carroll is probably gonna be top 10 or top 5.
They almost beat Grapevine at NXR. Based on that, I think 21st place at RunningLane is considered an underperformance for them.
California has 3 really good teams.
The Southwest region had sooo many teams in the top 15 at RunningLane. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are 2 at-larges in that region this year. Lots of good teams in this region again.
Northeast has some really good teams.
Midwest’s Center Grove and Carmel are really good and each got a transfer. Not sure if that means that another team will get an at-large from that region.
Northwest has more than 2 good teams as well.
I can also see Ortiz making the top 7 by the end of the season (especially if one of the returners does not race due to injury) since Ortiz was in their top 7 last year and was their #3 at regions. I can also see R Freeman move up on the team. He was consistently their top 5 last year but didn’t do track. He was their #2 at regions.
she is not running this meet.
Here's how the Flower Mound and Southlake Top 14 Girls are lined up going into Saturday's 3200. I think it is going to be an exciting season to watch!

Next year FM should have a really good top 5 again then too.
Humphries/Humphries/Fox/Spangher/5:31 girl as a 7th grader
BTW, for the last 2 years, Eastwood was a 5th man away from achieving what they were capable of.
Last year at state, they would have gotten second if their 5th placed where he should have.
In 2020 state, they would have won if their 5th placed where he should have.
Yes, the SL vs. FM rivalry will continue! Southlake returns...

Allison Boswell 2:38
Abigail Perez 2:39 /5:49
Alexis Fisher 9:24 (2400)
Flower Mound has an 8th grader this year who ran a 9:18 in the 2400

If the 2 mile is on the 20th…
T minus 12 hours until we have a 3200 battle between the top 2 Girls teams in the state and the #1 Boys team in 6A vs. the top two ranked 5A teams.
Conditions iffy high 80's, humid, and storm chance.
what great racing and FAST times!
It looks like coppell opened their season with a 15:53 team average. Could this be a sign of late season success?
fake times 😡😡
They were missing Alvarez, Hill, and Golomb. Lots of underclassmen stepped up though. Good for next year.
Pretty much all grades are one below the grade they are actually in.
Yep, grades weren’t updated from last year.
Grapevine was missing Rayon but their top 5 that did race are all coming back for next year.
my daughter in the Consolation heat beat these Flower Mound girls in the Championship heat, the final (+) number is how much slower they ran than their entry time.
Name Entry Time (PR Time) - Race Time (+slower)
