The Tigers return three scorers and five of their top seven from the team that packed tight and rallied late to win the State Division II title in 2021.
It may turn out to be so but it's tough speculating about the future. All we know right now is Sean Brosnan has left and his wife Tanya and Steve Hawkins are interim coaches. NP will hire a full time coach. The future depends in part of who the new coach will be, whether he/she will be dynamic, resourceful, knowledgable, or not. The odds are probably against this coach being someone who can lead NP back to national prominence on both the girls and boys side. We shall see...
Other contenders to be near that top spots in the state or could qualify for footlocker- Alex Lamoreaux(4:11 pb) and the Granada HS Boys team, ncs is pretty stacked this year.

Reynolds did not finish as high as expected based on his 4:26/9:36, but their #5 was a freshman.

I foresee Reynolds gradually working on translating his track times to CC times, and Abbott gradually trying to get used to 5K and 3 miles. Maybe that 3-5 gap will be closed at the end of the season.
Only 4 seniors on the team total. 2 on varsity. And only one senior looking to be in their top 7 next year.
Also, next Clovis East returns everyone that raced in the varsity race including their low stick Spralding. Buchanan boys team never seems to be on par with their girls team
