I don't understand why the US constitution is weirdly revered by people in this country. It was fairly forward thinking for its time... but it was written almost 250 years ago. I think it's safe to say the world has changed pretty dramatically over the course of a quarter of a millennium.
Because it was founded on timeless principles. Circumstances change, styles come and go, but certain truths are timeless in any era. The founders used those truths as the foundation. There is no comparison in any government in the world - past or present. For the citizens to be "deceived" out of them is tragic.
Yeah it's kind of silly to think an outdated document should govern us today. A lot needs to be reexamined. The world has clearly changed since a group of wealthy white slave owning dudes met up to decide things.
Now we've got a Supreme Court that can wreak havoc even though many justices weren't appointed by a president that won the popular vote. They can erase decisions that people don't agree with.
& then there's the issue of money in politics. We're living in an oligarchy & most people could care less.
Literally one of the greatest documents that has allowed more people to have more freedoms than any other country in the world. protects all religions, all social tendencies and all people. Which document offers more protection to ALL cultures and beliefs.
We put it in the National Archives for a reason. It’s the foundation of our government. Complain as much as you want to about. Act on it and you’ve crossed the line. Don’t be shocked by the consequences.
I've read many stupid things from leftists about guns before, but this might take the cake.
It also took over a minute to reload a musket between shots! But yes, we should definitely allow unfettered access to assault rifles!
This is evidence that liberals don’t have any fundamental reason to oppose the document. They just want to rewrite segments for their own political benefit. Doesn’t work that way.

More proof 80% of let’s run topic premises are garbage. “weirdly revered”? What famous document have you written?
Unsurprisingly, many Americans have no idea that much of the advanced world ALSO have constitutions, and that they change them from time to time.
Changing a constitution does not need to involve violence. It absolutely should be updated.
In Canada, we wrote a new one in 1982.
No revolution.
And we are doing a hell of a lot better than the U.S. on all of the issues it touches. (That would be pretty much everything that matters, certainly including children not routinely being shot in school.)

Agreed 1000%. For starters, in regards to the Second Amendment, bullets weren't even invented until approximately 50yrs after it was written. All they had was muskets lol.
I see Stupid People. Get help. Guns will always be present in the USA, period. Good luck trying to pry them out of the hands of American Citizens. NOT gonna happen.
Bullets? Those who wrote the Constitution were smarter than any liberal living today.

Justin is almost as big of a liar as Joe Blow, possibly worse. Please, don't cross the border, stay up there to infinity and beyond

Yalls PM is really good at black face, I’ll give you that.
Read Thomas Sowell for a better understanding of history, economics, government and society.
It’s understandable when the young have idealistic thoughts and emotions but it seems like parents and professors have taught them that Socialism and Utopia are possibly without knowing reality of China, USSR and Cambodia.
The Radical Revolutionaries of the 1960s and Che and Mao were tyrannical psychopaths yet posters of them have been on college dormitory walls for decades. It’s okay to be hopeful but at some point it’s pathetic to be an idiot.
Concerning guns and the 2nd Amendment, why do the politicians who are legislating against citizens owning the same weapons the public or private security protecting them 24/7??
First of all never read Thomas Sowell under any condition.
Secondly politicians are more important and face more threats than randos like you. Classic dumb 2a argument.
Classic leftist ignorance on display.
The reason leftist ideas are all so idiotic is because leftists are entirely unfamiliar with the counterpoints.
There isn't a Democrat alive today who could win a debate with Thomas Sowell.
Do you genuinely believe “the right to bear arms” for private citizens is sufficient to take on the US military in a fight?
They all do
I want an RPG to protect against this tyrannical government. AR-15s and 9MMs don’t stand a chance against Apache’s. Can we legislate to let citizens own patriot missile defense systems while we are at it? What about Anthrax? I want anthrax too.
