Both my grandmothers lived into their late 90's and were beautiful to the end, in my eyes. So I guess try using early 1900's technology to raise your own food, provide your own transportation, medicine, and entertainment. Don't worry so much about everything because much of what you're worrying about now hadn't even been discovered/invented back then.
-Exercise regularly (running + lifting 3-5 times per week)
-Intermittent fasting M-F (do not eat breakfast and break fast at noon)
-Limit alcohol consumption
-Avoid heavy sun exposure (sun burns and exposure increase chances of wrinkles)
-Do what you enjoy and surround yourself with stress-free people (stress ages you)
-Live a simple life relative to what modern corporate marketing says you "should be doing"
First- good genes.
Exercise regularly- I've been running for 51 years (I'm 63).
Stay healthy: when I graduated high school I weighed 137. I now weigh 140. The most I've ever weighed was 149.
I never used sunscreen and all that (I'm Italian and dark complected).
Never smoked (obviously) or used drugs. I eat a healthy diet now but not so much when I was younger (I burned it all off).
I think attitude is a big part- I have always acted "young". I'm usually upbeat and positive.
There are no anti-aging secrets.
No matter what you eat, you will age. You can hasten death by eating poorly, but eating well isn't anti-aging.
You can dye your hair, use anti-wrinkle cream, get plastic surgery, but it's all smoke and mirrors.
Do healthy things to live as long as you can. That's it. There is no such thing as anti-aging. You can not cheat death.
Lots of fruits + vegetables
Do exercise you enjoy.
Not too much alcohol.
Have some PASSION and GOALS. Most people after 30 have neither.
PS. I know I'm gonna sound like an anti-sunscreen zealot, but how about this: instead of slathering on toxic chemicals (look up sunscreen manufacturer lawsuits), get a mild amount of sun and otherwise wear clothes and a hat. Big difference between a light tan and looking like those Miami beach bums.
Maintain meaningful social connection and cultivate a sense of purpose.
Besides that, take care of your physical health with a good diet and exercise.
Centurions all have in common: healthy diet, regular exercise, and strong social bonds (often lifelong)
I agree with you pretty much. Just wanted to add that most bottled water IS tap water and just because it's bottled doesn't mean it's good water. And yes, I understand you recommended the Walmart water.
How are anti-aging measures judged to be a success or failure ?
What would make you say "Look at that 70-year-old. He's like a 55-year-old because {FILL IN THE BLANK}."
Don't forget: they also have effective formations and excellent discipline under enemy fire!
healthy diet - don't always eat "healthy" but avoid added sugar. always wear (facial) sunscreen every day, even in the winter. I wear a light-feeling 30 SPF that is really useful in protecting me.
Also, have you ever heard the phrase "Black don't crack?" Black people have higher melanin than white people which partially explains it, but also very few white people use daily sunscreen/lotion
Sunscreen is toxic. Ya'll have fun with that.
You might be able to beat Father Time but you can’t Beau Mother F*cker…
Blacks in the U.S. have over 60% deficiency rate for vitamin D, which is critical to multiple facets of health. Rates of D-deficiency in whites are climbing due to excessive avoidance of healthy skin exposure, as skin cancer rates rise dramatically with more sunscreen use and more sun avoidance.
Go real fast close to the speed of light and your time will slow down.
