Where is Culpepper gonna go? Can’t imagine him going to Cal Poly given his ego

If CEO was an assistant coach or stayed a Ole Miss then it would continue to be a powerhouse. Cant wait to see who they hire given it will determine the future of SEC distance.
Holy Shnikes

I'm sure they'll get along fine!

Wonder what Flatt will do. Vanhoy was probably a huge reason why he committed along w the other recruits. Probably too late to get a release so we gotta see who Ole miss gets
NCAA now grants releases when your coach leaves. Flatt doesn't seem like the California type, but he could end up at UGA with Sumner. Imagine a 4x4 with Godwin, Boling, Flatt, and Sumner - that could contend for an NCAA title.
honestly I could see him doing well at Texas A&M, the training seems like it is to low mileage runners..could be like Athing Mu
Van Hoy bring all new staff or retain the current staff at Cal Poly?
Van Hoy has let himself go over the years... used to be clean-cut, etc. Now looks like he's a bit unbalanced, but probably is what drives his success.
Come on, people: California over Mississippi. It's quite simple. No one ever wants to attend school in Mississippi... California is among the top states in the Republic.
What happened to cal poly? In the early 2000s they were top 3 in the western region, multiple trips to Xc nationals, high of top 10 ncaa.
Now they aren’t top 10 in region? What happened there?
Cal Poly is a fantastic place to live and train, but I'm shocked that he'd move from the fantastic program he built at Ole Miss, especially given that he went to college at UNC in the south, and so was comfortable there. Cal Poly is also way down from the SEC but either it is a temporary somewhat downward move to prepare the way for a job like Stanford or Oregon, or he sees the possibility of building a national contender at Cal Poly.
California’s Central Coast is one of the best places on Earth. Beautiful, temperate, great trails, good wine in Paso Robles. SLO is a nice city and cultured. I would move there in a heartbeat if the right situation came along. Sounds like it did for Van Hoy.
I dont understand this move. Ols Miss is in the SEC whereas Cal Poly is in the Big Sky conference. You’ll never recruit against the PAC12 or SEC with a Mountain West School

Not a Mountain West School... it's a Big West school.
That aside, it's a top academic school ... they do just fine with recruiting. Sure they aren't going to win a battle with Stanford and the likes but plenty of kids want to go to that school.

The transfer deadline is July 1st.

As it seems noone had made this connection yet...Union AC trained in SLO all winter, and my sources say a prominent club coach in SLO (iykyk) said a certain Union AC member (one very close to VH...duh) absolutely loved the training environment there...gonna go out on a limb & guess that convos between the 2 played a role in this move (and perhaps in future moves/relationships? 👀)
