I can’t believe they interrupted my soap opera to air this garbage. Don’t they know people would rather watch me argue with Jack Abbott than hear some lady tell tales? At least the fictional characters of The Young and the Restless are entertaining!
Well this would be interesting. He knows a bucket ton. But he might just refuse or declare executive privilege or lawyer privilege.
FLASH: House Jan 6 Select Committee subpoenas former White House counsel Pat Cipollone This morning, Rep Liz Cheney tweeted it was time for Cipollone to testify “on the record”
He wasn't Trump's attorney, he was the White House (i.e. US government) attorney. And others were in the room. I doubt he has a valid attorney-client privilege claim.
Executive privilege is a closer call, but it isn't an absolute privilege. And a relevant question is whether the current occupant of the White House can waive that privilege. The privilege is for the executive to claim or not claim, not Cipollone.

If a lawyer represents a company, the lawyer can talk to multiple people in the company at the same or different times and maintain privilege over all those communications. I can only assume the same applies when a lawyer is talking to government branches or agencies. In other words, the President doesn't have to clear the room every time he wants to talk to the White House lawyer. That would be unworkable and inconsistent with the purpose of the privilege.
These hearings are very simple to understand. They are really taking it slow and spelling it all out very clearly. If you watch them you walk away with a full understanding of what they were trying to show and prove. A child can put it together.
The right wingers on this board and in right wing media are doing the opposite. They are making straw man claims with no basis in reality. It becomes very clear that they have not watched the hearings but are on their computers looking for right wing help to distort, distract and lie.
I'm not a fan of Trump, but it is cool as hell that he tried to hijack a limo to attack Congress. Jumbo coconut balls on that guy, I have to admit.
KInd of odd that instead of bringing in the agent who was the victim of the alleged "lunging" to testify as to what happened they brought in a lady who was not there but got the story from another guy who was not there.
"British filmmaker Holder says his footage, and his own interviews with Trump, show the former president actually believes his assertions about voter fraud affecting the outcome of the election even though there is no evidence to back up his claims. And, he added, in the days before Jan. 6, 2021, the then president was “absolutely” convinced there was going to be violence that day. “It was so obvious. This was his last hurrah,” Holder said. “He had this — obviously had this — ridiculous idea that intervening in this ceremonial process of certifying these results could somehow prevent President Biden being inaugurated.”

Narrative.
Unrelated to reality.
The violence that day was from the cops directed at the protesters.

that's a pretty clear distillation of trump. He thought the violence from the armed mob would prevent biden from taking office. And the Republican Party is STILL supportive of Trump, even as this has become clear.
It's all from donny's NYC real estate career. There, all rules are broken, no word is kept, no honor sought. It's just intimidation, lying cheating and what you can get away with. That's where Donny's mind was. And that's what 'law and order conservatives' want this country to look like.
Worst president ever.

Unkle is among the most obtuse people on this forum
Leave it to you to have the dumbest take possible. Cheney is not a liberal. She is simply making a bet on a post Trump GOP. Signs of that are already happening. Trumpism was sound rejected in Nearby Colorado yesterday. Even your boy DeSantis doesn't need Trump anymore.
Going to be funny to see you sad pathetic dejected losers still wearing m a g a hats and barechested Trump T-shirts in a few months.
In WY she is. She will get destroyed in her primary next month. Again, her political career is over in WY politics.
Her political career in Wyoming is over?
Oh dear. That state has a total of 39 people in it. All she has left is the entire national stage.

You say this as if the lunging incident is the focal point of these hearings.
Do you get paid to troll like this carmine? Or is your life so dull that you have nothing better to do than spam a running forum on the internet with a deluge of bullsht all day?
