So there are under 5,000,000 males 18-30 in the UK. Perhaps there are a couple of outliers in the 30-40 range, but few and far between. You’re telling me that currently well over 1000 of them are sub-14? Yeah, uh-huh, sure.
Where did I say sub 14?
The op said 14 flat and I know there are at least 1000 who are 14-14:30.
I don't know any races that pay money, at least in my state. we have a few 14min 5ker's. I imagine anywhere that does pay will have a lot more and some faster. Probably get more money pacing or coaching

Yo what are you going on about? 14:30 is not 14 flat. Add one second if you’d like, but there are not 1,000 ppl in the UK that can either run 14:00 or under.
Maybe not directly from running and winning races. You can make money off of talking about running, having some running goals although you don't come close to reaching them. This is where you cue up The Athlete Special on YouTube. He's making money from YouTube to support himself and his fledgling "pro runner" career.
You are 2 minutes and 43 seconds away from a 14 minute finish. Let that sink it.
That's a lot.
You might get under 16 but anything else is highly delusional.
Sub 15 is totally viable and low 14:xx isn't unattainable I don't think.
Progression of an athlete I coach:
16 - 17:55
17 - 16:45
18 - 15:52
19 - 15:10
20 - 14:59
21 - 14:28
22 - 14:03
23 - ??
We'll see what he runs this year. Slowly worked up from 25-30mpw at 16 to 80mpw.
We'll see what he runs this year. Slowly worked up from 25-30mpw at 16 to 80mpw. In terms of making a living off of it? No, this guy makes about $1,000 a year in prize money which means he can have cash to make sure he has fresh super shoes for races and can fly to a fast race once a year. Not a bad thing to have a hobby on the side that pays for itself which you enjoy.
Besides if you read here https://bookofragame.com/en/ you will understand that Book of Ra also offers great opportunities that should help you earn some money!
In general, to make significant money as a professional runner, you need to be consistently placing in the top positions in major races and setting fast times. A 14 minute flat 5k time is quite fast and competitive at the amateur level, but at the professional level, so they made good results, I think now they will succeed

Started running last year and ive done a 16.43 5k on 30 mpw with hard work i feel like i can get to that level rn in about 16.15 5k shape. I feel like I have a good chance to break 14 eventually im 17. Considering my chances.
Unless you are 1 in a a million talent, even if all things go well for you, then you are at least 5-6 years away from 14:00 (30 seconds of consistent improvement every year is a lot and it gets harder the faster you get) assuming no major injuries.

It depends where you live. Are you in driving distance to prize money races? You could pick up enough to supplement your regular income and maybe get some free gear along the way. It's possible but very tough.
Running 16:30 and saying I can get to 14 is like the people who hear my 2:3x marathon time and say you are only 12 minutes away from sub 2:20 maybe another training cycle or two. lol
