Gotta add that Campalindo and Granite Bay are other CA girls team to watch. They both beat Great Oak in the state meet merge, and both teams return all their scorers

Add Abbey Nechanicky (Wayzata's #1) to the list. She was injured for the 2021 XC season. She just stated running again in February and is still running limited mileage, but here she is winning the MN State AAA 3200 last week in 10:09.50:
6/8/22 MSHSL State Meet - girls 3200m - YouTube
She looks great here--I can't wait to see here this Fall.
Aidan Cox is out of the picture. He's been injured since Runninlane. It's a real shame, he was so great and had so much potential for his senior season.
Burns and Hansen are great milers, not so much XC. They probably won't finish top 5 at either national meet. Gorze should be higher up, he got 6th at Eastbay behind 4 seniors.
Also keep an eye out for some of the Massachusetts guys. Not just Marcus Reilly, the junior trio Ross, Burgess, and Lopez have shown good promise. Ross in XC, Burgess in Indoor, and Lopez in Outdoor. one of them could show up in the top 10 at XC next year
I believe Cox was injured prior to runninglane as well. Raced sparingly and didn’t have any stand out performances during the season. Ran slower than his sophomore years times at Derryfield park and mine falls. Along with a fairly lackluster new England’s placing at thetford. I still don’t even know how he managed that running lane race, but that may have been last great performance we’ve seen out of him in high school.
Gotta add Lakeville North from MN to the watchlist for boys Heartland teams.
They return 4 guys under 9:51. and another 4:13 guy. They will have the same top 6 since 2020 and all 6 of those guys will be seniors.
Also, keep an eye on Sam Scott, Nick Gilles, and Noah Breker from MN.
Everyone in this trio is equal in terms of ability level. Scott is a junior and the other 2 are seniors. Sam Scott will need to be in the conversation for being the #1 runner in the nation for 2023.
Might also put Josiah Tostenson on the watchlist
Who?
Sam Scott, Noah Breker and Nick Gilles?
They finished in the top 3 at state and are all returning.
They all went under 9:06 in the 3200.
Aidan Jones from MN has stepped up as well with a 9:06.
There are a lot of kids from other states who are the same age and have ran faster than them so its hard to say where they will be in 2023 cross country. I don't see your boys in the top 10 sophomores. Here are the current top 10 this year. Funny how the top three have the same last name.

Saratoga Springs boys will be at the top or near the top of the New York State in 2023.
For that year they return guys who already ran a 16:19 and 16:43 in the 3-mile and also 3 guys under who already went under 10:17 in the 3200. And another 4:46 guy.
Burnt Hills will be strong too that year since they will only have 2 seniors in 2022.
Interesting how little overlap that list has with the top 10 speed rated from XC. I wonder which is a better predictor, last fall’s XC or this spring’s 3200. FWIW, I think Marcus Reilly is the clear no. 1 for the class of 2024, but he doesn’t have a spring 3200 time in the nationals lists, or at least the one you pulled from. Maybe he’s more of a mid distance track guy than a XC powerhouse though.
Also, Franco and Marcelo Parra are twins. No idea if they are related to the other Parra.
Here are the top 10 class of 2024 from XC. The converted speed rating to 3200 times are in the range of a 9:00 to 9:05 3200, per tullyrunners.
Jimmy Wischusen, NJ
Andrew Hauser, MO
Danny Simmons (ID to UT?)
Luke Athay, ID
Mile Ramer, TN
Sam Scott, MN
Bryan Grevious, NH
Matthew Edwards, CO
Sage Wilde, MO
Patrick Koon, FL
Also, don’t forget about freshman Keegan Smith who has a faster speed rating than one of them

Ellie Shea is #1.
Her 15:49 is #6 all time and she was doubling back from a 9:52 two mile the day before. That 5000 time is equivalent to a 167 speed rating.
Her 4:14 last week is #10 all time. Natalie Cook better not be sleeping on her tomorrow.
Wayzata from HL will be one of the top teams in the nation in 2023.
They return 4 guys who already ran a 16:13 for that year and they got more than a year to find a 5th man
Stevens Point will also be one of the top teams in 2023. They return 5 guys under 10:14 and they also have 2 sub-5 frosh coming in next year. They have another c/o 2024 guy that ran a 4:38.
heartland will be strong that year

Burns is NOT a miler. He is a long distance guy.

I’m assume you mean Boise High School. Where do you see them having the fastest 5k for sophs and under?
athletic.net’s meet predictor put them very high, but not no. 1.
