Funny how the haters and trolls are just focused on BYU runners. I'm not particularly a fan of BYU, but nobody even touched the post about Kioko. There are many older runners...people only get upset when an older person runs and does well... really, you are all a bunch of cry-babies. America really needs to toughen up and be more like "the greatest generation". Too many people who freak out when they don't get their way, or something they don't like happens. Suck it up buttercup!

Which post about Kioko? I’m not happy with a 27 year-old still competing in NCAA nor do I think missionary trips should stop the clock. I will criticize both.
Whoever posted that did give a very mature response. Psychologists agree people are not happy if they don’t get their way…one of the definitions of frustration.

Little amount of traction aside, it didn't take long for the focus to turn to BYU.
It's comical the fuss over some BYU runners having a supposed "age" advantage when there are plenty of runners in the NCAA with the equivalent 2 year age gap. Now a 6 year gap, you might expect something 3 times as "heinous" to generate 3 times the fuss. Yet crickets..
They dated a few weeks and got married. If Mormons are NOT allowed to use birth control, how come no baby yet then? Also- remember Brie Oakley. She won NXN a few years ago after only running like 1-2 years in HS Junior and Senior Year. Seems like her parents held her back 2-3 years for some reason. She was 20 when she graduated High School. She went to Berkeley and was a total failure, just like Jenna Hutchins, Claudia Lane, Amber Trotter, etc. The NCAA needs to stop this nonsense. You should not be allowed to compete for any reason after your 24th birthday. Casey Clinger is going to be like a 25 or 26 year old senior.

Not sure why I feel compelled to respond, but Mormons can and definitely do use birth control. Some want to have big families or feel pressured to have a couple more kids than the societal norm these days, of course, but it’s about one family in a hundred that doesn’t use birth control. Maybe it was different 50 years ago, but that’s the situation now. Also, who is this post even about at this point?
And what does girls who weren’t relatively as good in college as HS have to do with ages? Again, weird post.
Just glad my kids will enter college after all of this COVID eligibility has worked its way through the system. It has produced better results as general students are now competing for 6-7 years (like something out of Tommy Boy), but it does make it harder for the younger, non-COVID eligibility generation to obtain scholarships.

Feel I should confirm the 2nd post and contradict the 1st. The birth control ban is Catholic, I think, but I just picked that up from movies. Absolutely no such rule from LDS.
