How would you change your life if your number [were] about to be called on this Earth? Are you right with God? What about family members?
Well, there's actually no "G-d," but it's still an interesting mental exercise.
I would probably hold off on the very time-consuming recruiting mailing that I'm putting together. (Or maybe not? It goes out under the head coach's name and I might like to leave him one last gift.) Definitely would follow up on getting registered as a cadaver donor--would like to think my carcass could help someone learn anatomy.
What else...would probably spend most of the time cleaning up all of my junk in the apartment and storage room. Why saddle someone else with that? [When my sister went into home-hospice care, she spent weeks getting her (rather spare) apartment organized for her survivors and did a terrific job, yet I still had to spend a few solid days hoeing the place out.]
Hmm. Might finally visit the Statue of Liberty. Been a NYer for decades but have never gone there.
Other than that, of course just some goodbye time with my immediate family. On good terms with all of them, so no fence-mending needed.
God is real! You should not deny him in this manner! It's wrong!
When I get groceries I stock up on certain things. If I knew I were going to die I would buy some steaks and eat them instead of the staples I have on hand.
“What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ” Philippians 3:8 NIV
