So me and another guy were made team leaders over the summer because our head coach is leaving so we currently don’t have one. Me and the guy got in a fight over how we should do the training, he wanted to do hills on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 6 by 800 @ 2 mile on tuesday, and 4 mile tempo on Thursday, plus another long run on Saturday, I told him that was too much and no one would even show up to practice with the team if that was what we did, and I proposed doing the hills, changing Wednesday to a hill tempo, and easy runs the other days. He told me he already built his aerobic base and we need to pick it up for the rest of the summer, btw it isn’t summer yet. What would be a possible way to convince him that his training would lead to no one training with us, and lead to possible injury and burnout? Also I can’t just listen to the coach because we don’t have one….
