I've noticed that when I keep my palms pointing at the sky that a forward lean is easier. I think my arm angle when doing this is definitely less than 90 degrees too. I barely clench my hands. Is this bad practice?

To each his own, but I run with both palms facing left.
I hear engaging your glutes is important, so my palms face my buttocks and I use my arms to propel my azz forward.
Indeed, a forward lean with palms facing up is a richer running experience: I sometimes have passers-by dropping quarters in my imploring palms.
At the end of the day, it's probably best to do whatever is most relaxed for you - being too tense trying to get "perfect" arm carriage is probably not worth the trade off.
That being said, I find rotating my palms upwards to be a good cue for bringing my elbows in to my body (because it mechanically forces them in). I'm sure that I'd never run like this for a long time, but occasionally doing it during runs can help me to remain mindful of how my arms are moving.
Let your palms grow however they want. Beware falling coconuts.
I briefly tried upward palms in today’s run just to see if it lent itself more naturally to a forward lean, but it just felt silly and didn’t seem to make any difference to my lean, though I should say that I did feel like pointing my palms forward especially with fingers pointing downward felt more in line with a forward lean as if literally pushing an imaginary trolley downhill; all of which I discreetly tried when no one seemed to be around and watching lest someone should see me and think I’m a mental case pushing or carrying imaginary things on my run.
Don't be cheap, just buy the book.
Run with palms facing inwards and touch pointer and thumb together like you are holding a chip. Don’t clench hard enough to break the chip
The whole point is to keep from rounding your shoulders and slumping your head forward. Palms forward or facing the sky is supposed to help prevent such poor posture.
Post video, and don't forget to lead with your ankles ( that's idiotic)
Also, I hear wearing your hoody backwards helps your posture
Might as well try palms down and palms back too:
