the simplest logical explanation is that they are all doing it, they all took the same risks, and they all understand that she was the unlucky one, but there but for the grace of god...
once she was caught, she sat down with nop and btc to not only fabricate the story but orgainse how she would protect nop and btc. provided she took the fall without dobbing nop/btc, they agreed to go to bat for her.
I don’t understand why she’s still training so hard. Why doesn’t she take the next couple of years easy, since she can’t compete, and focus on something else in life?
A user who must have typed ten thousand plus words about Shelby Houlihan on an online forum, is probably one of the last people on earth who should be making comments about being "really obsessed."
Also there's countless obvious ways you could find out about this without following shelbo800. E.g. I dont follow her but saw the story when someone in a group chat im in shared it. When a banned athlete is waving in the faces of the public that they're still.hanging around their pro buddies, word can get round quick.
You have zero evidence they haven't broken any WADA rules beyond Shelby's lawyer saying they haven't. That same lawyer also said nandrolone wouldn't help a distance athlete so forgive me for taking his statements with a couple of pinches of salt.
My obsession is much broader, and not just specific to Houlihan.
Ross Tucker wrote 9,000 words, so 10,000+ seems about right.
Maybe there are countless ways, but why? It looks like gossip. I don't know who "shelbo800" is.
Do you have more than zero evidence?
Is there evidence that her training is breaking any rules? The rules talk about not participating in the Olympic movement and not using Olympic funds and resources -- banned athletes have to make private arrangements.
Is there an association ban which puts other athletes and coaches at risk? I think the only risk and consequence is that Houlihan's ban could be extended, but otherwise, no one in the Olympic movement, or fans in group-chats, or followers of Instagram and Strava, are harmed by her training.
Is there evidence that ingesting a small quantity of nandrolone, from any source, could help a distance athlete? I understood the bio-availabilty of ingested nandrolone is quite small, with most of it filtered out on first-pass.
If there is no evidence either way, most of these posts are just public expressions of personal bias.
Can anyone explain why they are obsessed with her training?

and this is what they are doing.
That is the simplest and most logical explanation? It looks like a tangled web.
She sat down with NOP? NOP shutdown in Oct. 2019, and the positive sample was from Dec. 2020.
They are all doing it? Gabrielle De Bues-Stafford told us before leaving that she didn't see anyone doing it. You think she is still part of the cover-up?
Some of you are really obsessed, like stalkers, following her on Instagram and Strava.
If her training is permitted by WADA, isn't the USA a free country?
complains about Shelby threads.
posts 1000 times in every Shelby thread.
That wasn't a complaint about another Shelby thread -- that was excitement and anticipation, and me pointing out the obvious that it takes (at least) two to tango, and I'm never leading this tango -- the obsession here is way more than just me, or the two that it takes to tango.
Posts a 1,000 times? Some Shelby threads don't even reach 1,000 posts. Given the prolificness of two other posters, and then the sheer number of Shelby-hating posters and arm-chair experts, I can't take credit for anywhere near 1,000 posts in any Shelby thread.

100%. Checking in on a runner on strava = obsessed, but writing 1000s of posts without payment unlike the sports scientist.... that is obsessed. She is banned from the sport and should not hang around and train with non banned athletes. But this thread now goes into the toilet since Rekrunner is here to make sure it is. Well, she is still banned for doping.

You Shelby fanatics is getting more crazy for each day. Wonder how Shelby will place in the next WC. Oh wait. Well at least she will be a medal contender at the next olympics! Oh wait. At least she got Pre, right? No? Nothing? Wonder why she is training at the same place as BTC then.

Which fanatics? The ones who follow her on Instagram and Strava?
I wonder why these Shelby fanatics care so much if she trains at the same place as BTC, or trains at all?
What do you think of Travis Tygart's comments when criticizes the WADA Code, in certain cases, which can railroad athletes to 4-year bans, and treat them as intentional cheats, when they've done nothing wrong?
He claims that USADA has prosecuted 27 no-fault cases like that since 2015. If we are going to ban athletes from World Championships and Olympics, we should have a WADA Code that ensures, by design and process, that that kind of injustice doesn't happen.
And if it does, not only is the athlete banned for 4-years, but a vocal groups of "fans" show their true colors calling for lifetime bans, for removal of all accolades and prizes, for criminal prosecution, and for prison, and will demonize the athlete for life, long after the WADA ban is served. All because an athlete couldn't gather enough evidence to identify the nature of what she ingested one month prior to the charge.

I think this is bad for the sport.
My lawyer colleagues have been saying this all along and the no fault cases do not include fault cases the might well have been no fault.
why is jerry not being punished for coaching a banned athlete??
Can you cite the rule he'd be breaking to bring about said punishment?
that is the problem, he is not punished because there is no rule (that we know of EVEN THOUGH THERE SHOULD BE!!!) he is not even fazed by any backlash he would potentially get, they risk their own integrity (if there even is), morals to the sport and the respect people give them for shelby, it is also very unfair to the other athletes on the team affected not only emotionally but also having to potentially deal with the outside opinion
BTC will not recover from this shame if they keep on latching on shelby, instead of recruiting new runners or trying to save the team's image and focus on unbanned athletes, they still focus on shelby .. and they make it worse each week
BTC used to be such a respected team, olympians and record breakers but its so tough to respect BTC with Shelby still being coached by the same coach and using the same vicinity as the team .. I feel bad for the other athletes on the team because we know they cant do anything and just accepts it..
Even if BTC completely believes her and believes she is wrongfully banned at this point it is doing no one, including her, any favours to keep enabling this sideshow. It perhaps made a little sense when she was still appealing, but now, even for her own well-being, someone needs to sit her down and be realistic about her future. She can’t chase BTC around the country running time trials by herself for 3 more years with no income and no purpose and putting her life on hold for nothing. She needs to be realistic, go back to school or get a job, and accept her situation. It’s actually unkind to her - besides also being disruptive to the team - to keep indulging this nonsense. It’s past time for her to grieve her career and let it go, at least for the next few years.
