Oops, forgot the vid:
Here’s an incredibly bad vid of the first race:
I actually like 2-race formats.
Thank you for the vid.
I hadn't seen the race yet but there was more rain than I thought there was. Conditions definitley were not ideal. Other than the ill-advised celebration before the line, Richardson seemed a bit less "show boaty" than is usual for her. Perhaps she has matured a bit. If she hadn't had the early celebration she would have been a few hundredths faster.
If she can be a bit more humble and gracious and respect her fellow opponents a bit more, I could get behind her and root for her to succeed. I'm not a fan now but that could change. She is still young and there have been a lot of athletes in track and other sports that I was not initially a fan of but ended up changing my view of.
I said it in an earlier post and will say it again - if she stays clean she will be on the US team in Eugene this summer.
This post was removed.
LOL that’s all u got?
Thank you for posting the videos. I like her. She is young and a talent.
Other than show-boating, she seemed less show boaty? ha ha ha ha

You don’t have any substance Racistgeezer, you’re a bitter failure who who can’t stomach the fact that there are others simply more talented than you could ever dream to be…this isn’t just about Sha’Carri. You have a history of making baseless drug accusations against athletes not just here but on other boards….you have no evidence but pure conspiracy theories.
No, you had no clue Ofili is Nigerian….but that’s alright, a simple mistake…just own it, like your real motives….Racistgeezer.
He wasn't even a sprinter.

It's clear you've never been an elite sprinter so I get the bitterness.....you can't relate to a talent of that pedigree so you make stuff up to justify your (clearly racial) bias.
As others have pointed out, the conditions were atrocious, pouring rain, cold, headwind...the worst for sprinting. It was also her opener and she was in the mix with her competition. It's not the time that matters but the circumstances of the race.
If Letsrun was a real supporter of the Sport, they'd publish more context and less trolling.
Letsrun isn't anything more than an opinion page.
People posting here have no credentials. Why get mad at Letsrun. Its a forum.
This is mainly a joggers forum with opinionated never-was people.

horrible, unsporting behaviour.
which part of the fact that she was suspended for prohibited substances are people saying is wrong?
Agree, but someone of her talent level probably gets in shape a lot faster than you or I. Everyone knows the ultra-talented guy in college who was injured/out and has a bad opener but is basically back by the end of the season
Everything you said is true but isn't it all common practice on this board. Hell, everything you said could be applied to Matt Boling and Abby Steiner. None of the three have done anything on a global stage. With the weed suspension, none of them have done anything on the big girl or big boy national level. They have all won ncaa titles. I will say that Sha'Carri and Abby are more deserving than Boling because they both collegiate records which means hey can simply say they were the best collegiate athletes in their respective events in history. To make Matt Boling that great people on this board coble together 3 events 100, 200 and LJ. That is cool but he won't matter nationally or globally until he becomes the master of 1 event instead of the jack of 3.
