That was a fun meet to watch. Both high school 800s were awesome.

Same number of world qualifiers run as the USATF Distance Classic.
Yes. The high school season keeps going for a while longer.
Fun meet!
Spencer could have run faster & placed higher. His positioning wasn't good at all. You shouldn't be running in dead last at the bell in a field of 12+ when you're gonna finish in the top-half. He did so much running out in lane 2/3. I'm sure the haters will find a way to say it was a bad run but it really wasn't. If he's gonna run from the back, it needs to be in a faster race. He can run 3:40-3:45 all day. But he probably isn't gonna run sub-3:40 in a 3:40 race, especially when he isn't in position to move when moves are being made.
The crazy part is that it is possible that neither is the fastest high schooler this season (Sumner and Willis yet to really put one out there)
Serious Q though: how much does a wet track really affect a mile time? I would think the spikes would mitigate the slipping. Would it be more than a second?
Great quality stream. Better than watching the A.T.L. broadcasts. Both Chris and Kyle were fantastic and Allie's interviews were fun too.
Props to Tracksmith for sponsoring this event.
