Strickland could be charged if there is evidence that he conspired to help to set Wilson up as an accessory to murder. The thing that sticks out to me is that he allegedly bought a gun for Armstrong. Why would he do that?
I find it sad that they had security on the apartment that required a code to get in that only two of them knew, which also notified the apartment owner on her mobile phone each time it was used to get in or out, yet she uploaded routes on Strava that literally disclosed her exact location and times of movement to the entire world (public settings). I think people need to look at the safety of Strava quite closely (although I'm sure 99.99% of the time it's perfectly safe). I remember someone posting about how they saw someone on a 'flyby' then looked up who she was and was hoping to run into her on routes again, which might be totally innocent but obviously it could be used for bad purposes.
Strickland should be concerned. This is already costing him. She will play victim when caught and do anything to try and pin this on him. Doesn’t mean it will stick, but this isn’t just going to pass for him.
Really, have you read the affidavit at all? Wilson lived in CA and was visiting Austin and texted Strickland saying she understood if he wants to be just friends but wanted to talk because she was clearly interested in something more. Strickland bought the guns back in December. And you promptly jump to the theory that he bought them so Armstrong will use it to murder Wilson when she visits in the indefinite future??
“Why would he do that”? In Texas and a lot of America, it’s pretty common for people to buy guns for their protection and the protection of their loved ones. Why would that not be the simplest explanation?
Police retrieved the Sig-Sauer P365 9mm that Armstrong owned from Strickland’s residence and also test fired it on May 17 leading them to think based on the shell casing forensics that that weapon was very likely the same as the one used to murder Wilson.
She got out well before they had a warrant out for her, so she probably didn’t even need a fake ID. The cops were stupid slow and waited until May 17 to issue a warrant for her after interviewing and letting her go on the 13th. Beats me why Armstrong wouldn’t be the prime suspect when her SUV was the only car seen on camera during the hour of the murder and she nodded in agreement at the cop saying that it looked bad. The cop literally told her it looks bad, she agreed, and then cop told her she is free to leave and she asked to leave and left and got on a flight out of town.
Feels very similar to Brian Laundrie. Cops just let him go when he clearly was a suspect and then spent two months hunting him down.
Okay then how did it take that long to find out that she flew to NY after they did finally have a warrant? Are they not able to search a database of flight purchases?

Because you don't need to use a real name to buy a plane ticket, especially for domestic flights. Don't even need a passport flying inside the same country.
And everyone is still playing covid scare theatre at airports and airplanes when the rest of the country has moved on so it's not obvious who is actually behind the masks.

So she already had a fake ID ready to flee when she was questioned/released?

You seriously way over estimate ID checks, most people don't care. And it's not like these cops are the sharpest tool in the shed when they clown around with a mistyped birthdate as to why they said they had to let her go despite the warrant:
