I just searched this on google and found it easily. So no. I won't help you.
I'm heading to the state meet at @12:30 pm to check out 5a today and 6a tomorrow... can't wait!
9:48.25 for Cook in 3200...went for the record but came up just short
She did break the HS 3200m record ... at least if you're not talking en route splits for 2M and straight, in-season 3200s (NFHS). Kim Mortensen's 9:48.59 from decades ago is finally taken down.
Of course, Cook and others have run faster indoors for 2M, as well as 3k equivs.
What record were you talking about?
I think Tuohy still has the outdoor 3200, no?
A pity they didnt have each other to race against and both had to run essentially alone. lets see what she does in the 16 tonight. and in the 2 mile at the end of season meets. is she going to New Balance? I know shes going to Brooks. she may go easy tonight since she already set that record and its supposed to be 99 at 6pm in Austin.
*sorry 94. either way still hot.
Tuohy set the mile record in 96 degrees. Just saying. These kids need to toughen up. :)
Just goes to show how crazy KT'S season was her sophomore year. She ran 9:05 in the 3000 on a crowded high school track at New Breeze, lapping the entire field twice, then broke the 5000m indoor record, then broke the 3200 outdoor, then broke the outdoor mile, all while running a full slate. Did not even have Vaporflys.
save the Tuohy hype spin for the Tuohy threads. she was only mentioned because it was her record. no need to jump on that and hijack the thread into full on Tuohy worship/bashing like all the others become. this is a thread about the Texas State Championships.
Sorry. Just having a little fun. I will show myself out.

A nice run all by herself. But she seemed to be working a whole lot harder than in the few other races of hers I have seen. If this was a bad day, even more impressive.

I noticed that too. Her head was moving around more than usual and there was a hint of a grimace in the last couple of laps. and she ran the second to last lap slowest which was a little surprising for someone known for her absurd negative splits and crazy workouts. she ran a 9:52 at the regionals and it was like she had just finished a jog. guess well see how she looks after the 16.
Nice to see Flower Mound sweep in this event. how many high schools put the top three runners onto the podium for the state championship in a race like the 3200? Shades of Newbury Park there. although their poor freshman was wiped out finishing in third.
4:40 for the 16. 9:48/4:40 would be an amazing day for anyone but I wonder if this leaves her hungrier. Flower Mound with the sweep AGAIN though. This time with the twins as they both
passed the 4th place girl on the final straightaway. Both sisters actually had faster last laps than Cook.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
