Hopefully, the Kevin Costner coach character in Draft Day Two doesn't find out about this incident because otherwise Jim would probably be the #1 pick.
Bright Angel / South Kaibab loop. The two main trails down to the Colorado river. Great hike if you are up for that.
Thanks. Well there again, there may be no ulterior motive, and Jim changed it simply so the interested could more readily identify it.
Without inside knowledge, this stuff is rumor-mongering. I added my anecdote on the 100km WR attempt because I distinctly remembered immediately after watching the attempt as to whether Senseman call-outs had any effect on Walmsley. I didn’t think Senseman meant any ill-will; on the contrary, he probably didn’t want to see Jim expend his remaining energy too soon, only to end up falling short. But I wondered in retrospect whether there were any thoughts, one way or another, on the advice given in those remaining minutes, with the understanding that hind-sight is 20-20, nonetheless.
In the first place, how do you even know whether they were there or not? Was his wedding posted on Instagram, or other? Secondly, even if it is true they weren’t there, why do you attribute that to them “not wanting to show up”?
At least some must not have been there. Walmsley got married on May 4. The Cocodona 250 was run simultaneously in Arizona from May 2-7; Senseman was running in that race, and many other Cowboy-related folks were involved in various other capacities.
So they didn’t want to sacrifice their race in order to attend the wedding (assuming they were invited). Makes as much sense to an outsider as the alternative, being they signed up for the race as an excuse to get out of attending the wedding.
I have no information to add to this speculative thread but I did see the couple's wedding photos on Jim's insta and they are absolutely gorgeous. Hands down some of the best wedding photography I have ever seen. So, love that for them. Cowboy friends or no cowboy friends who really gives a f*&k when you've got pics that stunning?

Your post shows what's wrong with modern society. We are too worried about appearances. I'd rather have my best buds at a wedding with me than amazing wedding photos. My brother's first wedding photos were amazing and appeared in some magazine that the first wife got them into. I don't recall them photographing the divorce proceedings a few years later.
Now I'm not hating on the wedding photos (which I haven't seen). Cool wedding photos are a real treat.

Well I'll admit that my previous post was made a bit in jest; friends are more meaningful than fancy photography, no doubt. If you are having a very small wedding sans friends and/ or outgrowing old friends that is all good as well.
Don't love that I wrote a post that "shows what's wrong with modern society"... I suppose if one read my original post on its face, without leaving any room for the notion that said post was kind of a joke, it would be very valid to have your reaction to it, though.
