Agree to some extent. I think there are two ways to analyze/consider this and other recent performances (all in same quality range).
1. Perhaps she is already undergoing treatment for whatever mental and/or physical health issues she has, and is doing races at a "sub-par" level (ie. not training anywhere near 100%) because she maintaining some connection to the sport community is important for her well-being and/or trying to form a healthy relationship with racing again (trying to have fun). Having had many teammates struggle with various health issues ranging from eating disorders to autoimmune diseases/other physical illnesses, taking away running completely from someone isn't always a good idea. If all your friends, your identity etc. is based around running, it can be an additional negative stress that impairs recovery. It can be beneficial to have someone train at a very low level to be around their teammates and feel supported/in the loop. Doing races in this state could be helpful as long as the person modifies their expectations and the focus isn't on performing at their best level. It could also be helpful to try to re-establish a healthy relationship with racing, which might have been impacted by the stress of the NOP environment.
2. If what I wrote in 1 is not true (and I hope it is!), I would hope that Jordan has people in her life that are looking out for her best interests and for her health. She hasn't looked well for a while. Since I don't know her I will not speculate - not everyone who is extremely thin has an ED, there can be other health problems that cause that. At the very least, I am sure she has some trauma from the Salazar/NOP experience. Even if she does not perceive herself as having been a victim, it is certainly very upsetting to have to parse the idea that someone who you regarded as a father figure and who had a big impact on your life was so harmful to others. That said, I suspect that even if Jordan does not perceive herself as a victim, she did likely experience some things that had a negative impact on her physical and mental health. Again, I hope she is taking care of herself already and if not has people in her life who will encourage her to do so.
If Jordan makes a recovery and returns to her prior form that is amazing. If she does not, I will lose any respect for her as an athlete.
This is quite strange and the post seems contrary to much of what has been discussed in this thread.
1) Jordan looks quite healthy in the race photo; much less gaunt than in images past
2) Her post is short and sweet and belies absolutely no displeasure with the result. You would have thought reading it that it was a solid (though perhaps not stunner) race in the middle of a training block.
3) She is in the yellow and purple Kobe kit from the trials and Boston, both of which were awful races for her. (If it were me I would fling that kit into the fire- bad history multiple times).
4) Leading up to this race she posted some long runs on insta stories via Coros or Polar. They were quite quick (low 6 minutes)... which as was stated was basically her race pace here....
So big takeaway is that I am very confused. Is she happy with this race? Was she even racing? What is going on with her training in the UAC... all currently unknown
I suspect she's tired of posting the 'not my day' types of posts and has decided to ignore reality. She will continue to be viewed as a 1:08 half marathoner vs a 1:18 one by the majority of race directors, the running media, her fans and seemingly nike. So it doesn't really matter how she does.
This isn't that complicated: she chose a good photo. It doesn't reflect some dramatic change. Sheesh. And I agree with others that there's no reason for her to keep posting about how disappointed she is. Been there, done that.

I was extremely underweight for many years while deep in an eating disorder. I knew how to choose photos that didn't show how emaciated I was. It's the reverse of all the runners refusing to post a pic of themselves on the down step.
