I'm very hopefully that Almaz Ayana is on her way back to near top form and she can became a medalist contender in the near future. Someone pointed out she will be 31 in November; however, world class sprinters are improving at 35, 36, and 37. Eluid Kipchoge and other long distance runners are dominating and or competing well beyond 35. So I don't know why that person mentioned her age except to troll.
Almaz was leading the Ethiopian contingent with 500m to go but got out kicked as expected. Give her another year injury free and she will be a major player in the 10000m again.
