If a healthy Leo Young were running the DMR record was as good as gone. But even without him they have a shot, though it will be closer. Figure Lex with the 1200, and then if they can get either Blunt or Cantu to give them 52 point the Sahlmans finish it. With Leo out the 4 × 800 was probably a stretch.
Lex 3:01
Blunt/Cantu 52.5
A. Sahlman 1:52
C. Sahlman 4:02
Adam Olson has run 50.57. Have to assume they'd go with him.
No way Lex only runs 3:01 after running 4:03 for 1600 2 weeks ago. Olson should be right around 50, A. Sahlman I'd think would run around 1:51, and C. Sahlman would probably be at 3:59 (remember, this is a 1600).

Where is Olsen? Is he injured. I didn't see his name in the TO vs. NP dual meet. Everyone else on NP ran, except for Leo Young and Hector Martinez, who hasn't run for a while (injured?).

looks like he last competed Apr 7th. i don't know, maybe got sick too or is dealing w/injuries?
Aaron Salman and Daniel Appleford just arrived at Mt SAC with their coach. Since they aren't running the 4x800 I thought they might be running another event but they said no.

I asked the coach tonight at Mt Sac about their 400m leg tomorrow. He said Adams is in Texas at a soccer tournament. I guess this is was his focus is not track. It looks lime they will throw in a random distance guy for the 400m

It’s mildly astonishing that they can get this guy to run 1:54 off a couple months of half-assed training. The pool of talent at Newbury Park is off the charts.

While he obviously is quite talented, don't underestimate the amount of sprint fitness and endurance soccer gives a kid. Those guys train hard, and there is a huge overlap between mid distance fitness and soccer fitness
