Imagine going to a restaurant in Lithuania and ordering off the menu in Russian. The Lithuanian severs would look at you as if you were from mars. I use Lithuania as an example because my wife is from there.
Lithuania was a bilingual nation during the Soviet Era. But after the fall of the wall, Lithuania and the other dozen or so Soviet Republics banned the Russian language as being an official bilingual language. Never heard you complain about that. So there's that.
Ukraine has the same right to decide what is or isn't the official or accepted language. Maybe try going to France and order them to be a bilingual nation. Let's see how far that gets you. They won't even let one foreign word into their dictionary.
