At first and until just recently I was all GO UKRAINE but now I;m starting to think why do I or any America care about Ukraine? If we had.....sorry but not our war......this would be over without all those dead people and Ukraine all blown up,
Pretty obvious because of our help Russia will never rule Ukraine but what if it did kind of a so what who cares actually.
Russia is still on track to conquer Ukraine so long as the west isn't willing to bleed.
All we've done is increase the death toll before the same conclusion was reached.
One bright side, Russia now understands NATO will humiliate it in biblical fashion if they try to touch a NATO country. Once that point was made any further support given to Ukraine is just prolonging the suffering.
Russia has spent the past six months trying to take Bakhmut, a small city the size of Canton, Ohio. The only battlefield success they have had to date was taking Soledar, a small mining town of about 10,000 people (prewar). The Wagner PMC tried to take Bakhmut by itself in an effort to show up RU's military leadership and earn power in Putin's inner circle. But the effort completely decimated Wagner's convict army such that they had to call in reinforcements from RU forces to carry on the battle. And Bakhmut still holds even as the reinforcements are getting reinforcements.
And Russia's battlefield "successes" have come only by resorting to a tactic that can be best described as ground level kamikaze attacks. Infantry are told to push forward across the gray zone. They, especially Wagner fighters, are told that they will be executed if they retreat. Prior to going into battle, Wagner recruits are shown videos of soldiers being executed by sledgehammer. So, the soldiers generally fight to the death and do not retreat. More often than not, these wave attacks are repelled and there are not enough soldiers alive to hold any ground. But with enough bodies and good artillery cover, RU's wave attacks have had limited success but with extremely high casualties. And that is the full extent of RU's military success over the past six months. Russia is not on track to do anything in Ukraine except try to make some very small gains at great expense before UA gets deliveries of tanks, patriots and armored vehicles. Once UA has been resupplied, RU will not advance any further and may suffer the same sort of battlefield collapses that we saw in the fall of 2022.
Stop pushing endless / fake / proxy wars which hurt americans financially. The reason america is the worst developed nation on earth in so many categories is because quasi-patriotic dolts like you pushing Rocky v Ivan drago narratives.
It doesn't fly. We are more mature than your HS history mindset. Americans are screwed because of military waste spending, decade after decade.
If you are a patriot, take care of americans first. Stop harming average americans just to kill others abroad.
The Military-Industrial Complex is Ruining the Economy
man you have no business telling people they need to be more sophisticated. You're like a 9th grader who read Ayn Rand and is convinced that's all there is.
You go girl.
Says the dude who's never read Ayn Rand and just lashes out at her because he heard other stupid people do it...

good summary except I'd say that mass matters in ground war and it looks like the suicide drunken mass charges will likely wear down the Ukrainians and use up all their ammo. RU uses its first wave just to find out where the UKR forces are...the first wave is killed but RU can then track where UKR is and hit them with artillery. It's probably a winning strategy as long as RU can keep the fresh meat and artillery coming. Which they probably will, courtesy of a new RU draft and arms from Iran and NK.

The size of the city isn't really important it's the size of the forces involved that matters.
Russia has always won by attrition. They out bleed their enemies. They use artillery and a blatant disregard for the lives of their own troops. This isn't unique to the current war.
A handful of western tanks aren't going to make the difference you've been told. Particularly with Ukrainians operating them.

The result now is, the Donbas is liberated. You are saying the same will be true later. That's a Russian win.
The only win for Ukraine is to remove all Russians.

probably true, sadly.
what *would* make a difference is if UKR could own the skies. But the US has said no to F16s. Although Europe is more amenable to giving UKR aircraft.
The wildcard is the morale of the RU army. It absolutely melted away during the UKR offensive last year so if UKR can get its feet under it, maybe with the help of the new tanks, a UKR counter-offensive could break apart the RU forces and reduce morale even further.
The reason america is the worst developed nation on earth in so many categories is because quasi-patriotic dolts like you pushing Rocky v Ivan drago narratives.
According to the Times Higher Education Rankings for 2023, the US has 16 of the 25 best universities in the world. So, I think the real question you should be asking is why is the rest of the developed world so f*cking stupid by comparison? Japan... none in the top 25. EU... 1 in the top 25. Why are these "developed" nations so full of people that can't attend a decent university in their own country?
p.s. Why does such a developed country such as Japan have a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage? Your home country is neither progressive, nor educated. No wonder you fit in so well.
The only win for Ukraine is to remove all Russians.
They were removed the Kharkiv. They were removed from Kherson. They will be removed from Donbas. They will be removed from Crimea. And Putin will be removed from power (most likely by an accident near a window).

How does billions sent to Ukraine help average americans in america?
FFS by creating peace and prosperity that allows global trade, travel, open societies, cheap goods, markets for US companies and therefore jobs, preventing a power vacuum and subsequent power struggle.
not sure how many times I have to write that.
Just tell me how many more times and maybe we can set up something.

Thank you. It doesn't benefit average americans otherwise we'd have things the developed world has. See the list above for what real americans are facing now...

I'd check your assumptions, jack. the US is far richer than Europe. With the exception of health care, which is spottier in the US. Mostly fine but some clear holes.
The below is five years old but I suspect the gap has only gotten larger as the US economy has grown so much and unemployment is so much lower in the US.
And yes even the average middle class American is wealthier than the average middle class European.
The sustained higher rate of real GDP growth in the United States over a longer period of time has resulted in a substantially higher level of real GDP per capita in the United States than in other major industrial countries. In 2015, real GDP per capita was $56,000 in the United States. On a purchasing power basis, the real GDP per capita in that same year was only $47,000 in Germany, $41,000 in France and the United Kingdom, and just $36,000 in Italy. So the official measures of real GDP clearly point to the cumulative result of higher sustained real growth rates in the United States than in the major industrial countries of Europe and Asia.

"by creating peace and prosperity...."
Peace and prosperity for america's business elite... you left that part out.
“Wars”
Korea Vietnam (based on lies) Iraq 1 Iraq 2 (based on lies) Afghanistan
Others killed by american “interventions” (terrorism for profit) via bomb attacks, sabotage, attempted regime change
deaths by combat have fallen dramatically since the end of WW2 and of course the biggest story of our lifetimes is the emergence of billions of people from poverty, and much of that is due to the US and Europe's enforcement of rules against nations like Russia.
Civilian and military deaths in conflicts where the government of a state was a participant on at least one side. The data counts only direct violent deaths (i.e. excluding deaths from disease or famine).

Yup.. it's such a burden having the best universities in the world. And the best space programs (yes, multiple programs that are better than any other country). Leading the world in tech (e.g., Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc...). Highest average income in the world according to OECD ($74,738 per year, compared to just $39,711 in Japan -- no, the cost of living in the US is NOT twice the cost of living in Japan, no matter how many times you cite a disproven website that says otherwise). And, the ability to destroy the Russian Federation without losing a single American soldier's life.
p.s. Did you sell you fake second house to help average Americans? Or do you only pretend to care about them online?
