Thousands are leaving Russia. They are countless demonstrations turning violent all over. People are actually openly complaining about putin and the war (that's huge).
Europe News: YEREVAN: Dmitri flew to Armenia with just one small bag, leaving behind his wife and children, adding to the thousands fleeing Russia to avoid serving.
How do you know something is true? Carmine calls it western BS or CIA propaganda.
Back in reality, looks like Russia lost two more T-90A tanks. This is an upgraded version of the T-90, and only entered service in 2004. Russia has no ability to replace them due to endemic corruption, systematic degradation of the Russian industrial base, and crippling sanctions. Putin remains a master strategist.
Putin has no common sense at all does he? Watch what happens with these he called up once they get a weapon in their hands. Watch some surrender to Ukraine to fight for them.
How damn stupid id Putin?
goal is to hold the line into winter and use energy as a weapon against Europe in the hopes NATO will lose heart due to their internal politics. That's all. Seems like ok common sense to me.
NATO countries have some pretty bad economics and politics right now. UK is in a deep recession and political scandal. Italy is about to elect an ex-fascist. Macron is weakened. Germany is in energy crisis mode. The pro-putin Rs in America are likely about to paralyze the US government. Everyone is looking at stock markets down 20%, much higher borrowing costs and probably recession. Pretty easy to visualize NATO countries saying 'we come first' and reduce aid to UKR.
It could go against putin if mass waves of Rs manage to surrender to Zelenskyy. Yeah that would be embarrassing. But not likely.
You may want to consider that Putin is an isolated dictator who is completely shielded from reality. Every decision he has made in the past few years indicates that he doesn't really understand Ukraine, the west, or his own country's capabilities.
To break the support for Ukraine, he would have to turn eastern Europe against the Ukrainian side. As long as those countries view Putin as a direct threat to their safety, I don't think a winter of expensive heating bills are going to break the resolve. It's not like Germany or France are even doing anything meaningful to help the war effort. The US and UK can supply everything needed, as long as they have a willing partner in Poland.

Serious question: Will the nations of Europe be facing "expensive heating bills" or will they be facing no heat? These seem like very different propositions to me.

The impact is going to be a bigger hit on industry, as that will be shuttered if Russia cuts off gas flow.
But either way Europe will need to find a new source for the 45% of natural gas they recieved from Russia. Russia just proved that they can no longer be a reliable trading partner, so these countries will have to find new sources of energy ASAP.
Around 45% of the EUs has consumption goes towards household use.

How much longer can Putin last?
It's all western BS.
Like Ukraine is winning the war, the sanctions that will cause misery in Europe this winter are worth it, Russia invaded for no reason, etc.
C9 are you a m'aga Republican because that non-thinking automatic "fake news" retort to deny reality doesn't work anymore.
"Troops" in this context refers to 60 year old minorities that have no military training, no equipment, and physical disabilities. Please explain how this is not good for Ukraine and is good for Russia (be specific, so no ranting Jimmy Dore videos). Do you think Russia will support referendums in Eastern Russia when the populace gets tired of Putin's racism?
60 year old minorities with no training, no equipment, physical disabilities?
Who told you that?
Sorry, looks they received ONE day of training before being sent to the front lines.
Carmine, tell us again how mobilization is going to help Russia?
Mediazona talked to a woman who said her 45-year-old husband was mobilized and is being sent to the front with another 1k men after only one day of training with the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division's 237th Tank Regiment. h/t @arcivanovhttps://t.co/SuZxws6MzXpic.twitter.com/o87tzQgqbz
There are a bunch of conspiracy theories, that later turned out to be true.
For example, Gulf of Tonkin incident.
USS Maddox lied about being attacked by North Vietnamese, so president Johnson authorized counter-actions, which meant the beginning of the Vietnam war.
Yeah, just like that. A war started, because US lied and this only got declassified in 2005.
That’s a very distorted account of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident that bares only a passing resemblance to reality. So, par for the course for Lolly.
Ok, smarty-pants. Since the August 4, 1964 attack on USS Maddox never happened (this was classified for 41 years) and President Lyndon B. Johnson built his entire legal justification for deploying U.S. conventional forces to South Vietnam based on a claim it did, what do you call this? A mistake? Vietnam war by mistake?
Then the same situation with Iraq war. "The United States based its rationale for the invasion on claims that Iraq had a weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program and posed a threat to the United States and its allies. Additionally, some US officials falsely accused Saddam of harbouring and supporting al-Qaeda. In 2004, the 9/11 Commission concluded there was no evidence of any relationship between Saddam's regime and al-Qaeda. No stockpiles of WMDs or active WMD program were ever found in Iraq."
So at least 2 wars were started ty the US based on false claims (lies). No biggie, but let's complain about Russia instead and villify Putin.

Oh that poor man. How could the millions of people worldwide villify Putin? Oh all that fake news about him killing critics and rivals it just sad. And accusing him of starting all those wars. It's not his fault he brutally attacked Ukraine, its the fault of the USA. And he can't help it if Russian soldiers bombed civilians and tortured captives. I am sure a good leader like Putin would have put a stop to it.
And if any of you heathens try to claim Putin has done anything wrong, those of us that are Putin lovers will tell you its okay what he has done because of US and the Iraq war. This gives Putin a free card to do anything inhumane to others.
All honor the great and wise leader Putin!
(I kind of think Satan got a bad rap too, there was much fake news about Satan in the bible)
The disturbing clip starts with the shotgun-wielding man moving onto a small stage before opening fire just feet from a recruitment officer, who immediately collapses.

Yes, I seem to fail to understand the moral superiority Americans think they have, when Bush Jr. did much more damage to the world than Putin. An illegal war (no UN mandate) in Iraq based on blatant lies, with hundreds of thousands of innocent civilian casualties, but all good. Before you talk about Putin, prosecute Bush Jr. first.
For literally every move Russia makes, you Americans complain so much about, there is a much more worse move by the US throughout your recent history. To be honest, I suspect Poland, France and GB to have commited more war crimes than Russia since 2000, not even mentioning the US.
WHAT WHERE THE REPERCUSSIONS OF THE ILLEGAL IRAQ WAR? WHAT REPARATIONS HAVE BEEN PAID?

Anyone, answer these too questions.
you're not wrong - there is a double standard. The US and its allies certainly get away with stuff that no other nation or bloc could get away with.
That said....it's not apples to apples. The US did not try to annex iraq or afghanistan or take its oil. Whereas RU is just empire building, clear and simple. RU would make UKR part of RU.
The US hasn't done that by war for a long, long time.
