Erm Hocker ran from the front and ran a championship record time. Brown just ran a perfect tactical race and nearly finished 2nd despite being maybe the 5th or 6th best guy. I would say he ran the Nick Willis strategy to be more precise.
It was a somewhat blah race, I think Beadlescomb should’ve made a bid for the lead at 400 to go. He really impressed me with that finish for a guy moving down. For a guy as strong as he was controlling it at the end should’ve been a priority in a slow race.
As usual every miler thinks they have the best kick. Centro showed that the guy with the advantage is whoever has a head start at the bell and that was romo. Sixth slowest last lap and he still won

Honesly, hate any mile/1500 race. Always the most boring event at championships if its tactical.

Why all the hate for Mario Garcia Romo? He ran a smart race, leading wire-to-wire and held in for the win. The time wasn’t fast but it wasn’t boring. It was more exciting than the time trials from the gun.
Like what do the rules actually say here. Seems like someone f’d up but if it’s the two runners who stopped, why punish the ones who followed the rules and finished the race? If none of the runners f’d up then was it the officials?
also did anyone write down the times from that race?
I don’t understand why people don’t like tactical races. They’re way more exciting than a time trial
At least a time trial proves who deserves the win the most. Rather see a fast time than a tactical race. Would you call the Olympic 1500 a time trial or tactical? Based on your logic, its a time trial. That's the kind of race people outside of track like to see. All out from the gun.
