I don’t get all the negative Nancies who are complaining about the coverage. It was $6 bucks, I watched historic racing, no commercial interruptions, and I’m blissfully unaware of who had babies or grew up on a farm.

Fair enough, I don’t disagree with that and was happy to see the event for $6. I’m just inclined to be critical because I’m filled with hate, which stems from deep seeded insecurities.
Deep seeded?? And you're belly aching that they misspelled Conner's name?
oh lmao but can someone explain why he has the middle third of his moustache (under the nose) missing? men, is this a common thing to do? do you think it looks good?
26:44! There is no way this field of runners can produce 26:44. Nobody on the startlist has broken 27:00. You would need several runner's in the field to have substantial pb's to get even close to 26:44.
and, somewhere out there, last year's winner in 27:10, Marc Scott, is suddenly feeling really good about his 3k race coming at World Indoors, now knowing he's been training & staying up with 26:30+ guys . . .
This is going to be hard. They are falling off pace before 5k. Unless Kincaid sacrificies himself for the other -which is what I think he should do. They are going to be in trouble.
13:23 at halfway. Announcer was incorrect.
Woody looks horrible. It does look like he's just pacing. He needs to pick the pace up for a lap or two and drop.
Fisher looks like he's jogging. 64.5 is about as slow as they can take.
After Fisher and Ahmed crossed the line, the cameras only went back to the pack to see Tuntivate and Dever finishing, completely missing Rayner and McGorty in 3rd and 4th place.
In fact, from the 5km mark, the cameras pretty much only focused on the lead pack. It's a 26 minute race on a 400m track... you'd think the cameras could occasionally drop back a bit to see what else is happening.
I don’t care if it’s Joan Benoit or Emil Zátopek, the constant chuckling was hard to take.
That's a fair complaint if it's an NBC broadcast, but if it's a small production with a small fee I don't mind people trying it and seeing if they could be good -- I actually think Rhines could develop into a good track announcer with practice. She knows what the splits mean, has historic knowledge, and generally seems interested in doing it/being there. It just takes practice.
i enjoyed both commentators . 3 hour live broadcast is difficult . She , and Kara have knowledge of the sport from an elite perspective that i appreciate during a presentation .
appreciate the clarification, 'Ringo Starr.' This was something I had never seen before. Perhaps because if one's mustache is predisposed to growing in such a odd fashion then one would refrain from growing said stache. I will add that you and your bandmates all had very uniform walrus looks back in the day so you can see from where my lack of knowledge about this phenomenon stems.
Shalane Flanagan on the infield calling out splits.
What was she eating?
superhero muffins of course, perhaps followed by a piece of chicken breast lovingly cooked for her by #1 fanboy Drew Hunter using very own recipe no less!
