Americans are delusional, as usual. Doesnt surprise me I get downvoted for stating the obvious truth that Hocker only ever looks fast when hes running against a slow and weak field.
Face reality. The real competition is not going to slow down for Hocker so he can run them down with his overrated kick which actually isnt faster than that of the top tier milers.
What an atrocious take. Hocker had the 2nd fastest last 300 in the field (Behind Jakob) and passed 3 guys. It would have taken you 30 seconds to look that up.

You are right. My memory was wrong. He clearly passed 3 guys after the 1200 m mark. I can't find the splits now though. Thank you for pointing this out.
Why is Hocker undecided on Worlds? Why run USA Indoors with no intention of going? I get why people are being slammed but Hocker has raced very sparingly at bigger meets on the international level. He did great at the Olympics. I'm not his biggest fan but I would still like to see him run either event at Worlds.
& it would be good to know which 3rd place finisher gets to go. I don't think Wynne or Maggard have ever made a team before.
In the tactical races he is very dangerous, but as we have seen he does not have the exceptional kick in the fast paced races (such as recent 3:50 mile, or the Tokyo 1500 final)
At Tokyo, Hocker had the fastest kick in the entire field. He ran 52 for the final 400 and kicked his way all the way up to sixth overall.

Like everyone else the problem is a very late World Indoors combined with a very early World Outdoors...Hope he runs though, clearly last year he didn't have issues racing at a high level for many months in a row.

No he didn't,its been shown many times he didn't have the best 100,200 or 400m of the field,if I remember correct he wasn't even in the top 4 of those.

ROFL! You are completely nonsensical. 1) if the “real competition” isn’t going to slow down, otherwise he’ll run them down then he must have a good kick.
I'm curious about this query. Where did Hocker communicate that he intends to flee running against the world indoor contestants? Or dodge them? Avoid them? Ducking out of worlds is a pretty strong statement. Is that your assessment?
