Tough to see that after she had a tremendous outdoor campaign last summer after Trials. I hope she can get healthy. She has time.

Renato Canova has posted on this forum about blood viscosity before. It wasn't in relation to COVID, but about doping and red cells. Just sayin'.
Would be happy to, I have one sibling with it and one that took their own life in long haul hell. Both in real shape, one a professional ballet dancer and one a Combat Controller in the USAF, and there were no preexisting conditions. Constant tinnitus, fatigue, brain fog, inability to sleep through a night, terminate damage to lungs are my surviving siblings symptoms. Add all that but throw in series of mini strokes and loss of control of their left leg which effectively ended their career...and before you jump all over with BS Dead Sibling was an antivaxer before (not after) and living sibling saw what dead sibling was going throng and got J&J while forward deployed but had a case of breakthrough.
I had always assumed that so called "long haul" was nothing but malingering. Now I'm starting to wonder. My resting heart rate is up over 20 bpm one month after getting the covid and I still can't run worth a damn (relatively speaking).

This thread helps me see why Kate turned off comments on her Instagram post.
I bet he could cruise some 29s tomorrow if we asked and time trial a 3 minute 1200 this weekend. The problem is, he’d have a stress fracture by next Thursday. :/
So sorry to read this.
If you're trolling then fine, carry on, but if you're suggesting that long haul Covid only happens to old or unhealthy people you're dead wrong.
And when I read the symptoms I wouldn't even consider what I have to be long haul Covid, I'm just surprised it's been almost two months and something isn't quite right. I'm sure I'll get past it but it's surprising since everyone says Covid for the young and fit is just like the flu. Well no flu I've had gave me lingering symptoms this long.
I did not know that one of the symptoms of long haul Covid was struggling to run 29 second 200 meter repeats.
I think we can assume she was fully vaxxed, no?
I thought they are now telling us the vaxx keeps you from having serious issues with Covid?
What's up with this?
Not sure why anyone would downvote getting your Vitamin D checked. Trying to be helpful. We’re in the winter, and Vitamin D levels are likely low no matter where you are and esp if you’re not supplementing.
I would take a wild guess that both long haul covid and vaccine adverse reactions are both more prevalent among younger, more active people as a systemic reaction to the spike protein under higher physical stress, maybe trying to come back too quickly. I am twice her age and am 100% recovered from omicron after five weeks (no vaxx) but without pressure to get back to fitness I was VERY conservative in my recovery, of course with lots of D3, protein and magnesium.
Long haul covid is very real, and it has existed since before covid. It is a now popular name to describe post viral syndromes that arise after a covid infection. The reason its getting a new name is because it is way, way more common to get a post viral syndrome from Covid than other illnesses like the flu. For the flu its quite rare, for epstein barre and lymes disease it is less rare, but covid blows them all away. People are getting post viral syndromes left and right after covid. I myself have a post viral syndrome called POTS, though I did not get it from covid. I now have a female friend on my cross country team with POTS as well, and she got it after covid, and it ended her career as well. Not that she was going to have a career or anything, but she was pretty good, 5:20's for a mile and certainly would have liked to run her senior year except she couldn't because her capacity for exercise had dropped to basically zero. And before you ask, both of our cases developed before the vaccines even came out.
Post viral syndromes are very well documented, although I will admit they are not very well understood. Claiming that long haul covid is not real, or that is caused by the vaccine is the biggest head in the sand hot take ever. If its not real, then what do I have? Why can't I run? Why can't my teammate run? Why have there been hundreds of articles in medical journals that are documenting this huge rise of post-viral syndromes in covid patients? So stupid. I can't imagine if someone said to me in real life what Ive been dealing with isn't real. Good thing you guys only hang out online because people in real life would call you out on your bs.
This, my friend, is exactly what I have. Look up POTS, it is very common after covid. The good news is it usually gets better with time. It depends on the severity of your case whether it becomes a real chronic condition.
Really? Vaccines never cause any health issues?

Has she tried ivermectin?
I know this is a politically charged convo, unfortunately, but for those that haven't gone through it I think it's very difficult to understand, partially because it's so hard to point to something specific as to why it's happening.
I got covid at the end of last july. No severe symptoms, just felt off and my sense of smell/taste changed dramatically. Over the next three months I lost nearly 40 pounds. My bodyfat was at 14% before, so no I wasn't fat to begin with. I was absolutely shredded, never been leaner as an adult, by the time November rolled around. But zero energy. If I lifted a 45lb barbell over my head I would have to fight hard not to lose my balance since my vision would temporarily black out.
Six months later I'm still force-feeding myself for half my meals. My workout intensity is slightly higher and continues to slowly creep up, but I've never experienced anything like this before. My only super-power in life has been my aerobic and anaerobic capacity. I believe it'll come back eventually, but for now it's way out of reach.
Anyway, I get what Kate Grace is going through.
This is interesting. My resting heart rate went up 20 bpm while I had the (assumed) delta variant for 10 days in October '21, but gradually returned to normal after two weeks. Hope Kate doesn't have the fatigue so much as that was the worst part.
I know some people will laugh at this, but I know 13 people with long haul covid that have tries other remedies, but only got relief from ivermectin. *shrug*
