In the Letsrun preview they actually referred to him as an Olympian and I thought the losers here would’ve started a thread crying about it but then I remembered that losers don’t read and would’ve never seen it.
I doubt these new spikes are helping nearly as much as you people are claiming.
A lot of posters on here need an enemy to foster their constant victim culture. Super shoes are perfect. The older people can claim new times are fake. The young, slow people can claim they are "non-responders".
So, you believe that if Craig (or any college dude under 7:45) wore super shoes, their performances would have stayed the same? Bc if you don’t, there has to be a conversion for non super-shoe era times. Otherwise the recent record breaking is as meaningful as me going out and riding my bike to a 7:15 3K and claiming the world record.

During the Oly Trials, didn't Nuguse say something to the effect of "if I don't make the Olympic team, it's okay - I'll just focus on becoming a doctor?"
This man is about to be the world's fastest doctor, hands down.
The simpletons who love overemphasizing the shoes sure are quiet about tracks the past 30+ years. Lets add asterisks for all records unless run on a dirt track.
Honestly, I don’t think Yared goes under 7:45 in 2018 spikes.
he ran 7:46 2 years ago solo in under armor spikes
Interesting. Notre Dame has an exclusive deal with Under Armour. No Notre Dame athlete can participate in any competition in a rival brand unless, Under Armour does not make footwear for that particular sport. If he ran in Nike, that is a clear violation of the contract with Under Armour.
Yeah, Cragg was a RACER more than he was a time trialer. Almost unbeatable on the track in NCAA.
Couldn’t beat Torres in NCAA XC though (twice finishing in the next spot- 3rd in 2001 and 2nd in 2002 when Torres won).
Nuguse is known more for his racing than time trialing. Just ask Fisher, Engels, Kiprotich, Hoare, etc.
Ya the old people need to realize that Nuguse is legit, and Cragg isn't better. Nuguse had to race a dude who was 6th in the olympics. If Nuguse didn't get hurt last summer he would have reasonably been just behind Hocker, possibly making the final as well. Cragg was 12th in the olympics back in 2004 which is about as good as anyone would have predicted. And the competition is better now than in 2004, similarly to how it will probably be better in 2036 than it is right now.
Beagle’s right. The Badger website confirms he graduated from high school in 2015 and entered his freshman year at U Wisc that fall. Redshirted all that year (X-C, indoor and outdoor track). He is now listed as a graduate student. No indication of how many years of eligibility he has left. If in doubt, check with Mantz, Connor.
