I'm interested to see what the future holds for S.B. at N.P. after his two star families graduate out? Will he create a powerhouse tradition like Joe Newton or does he have his sights set on college coaching? I think the knowledge is there with him and someone like Tom Schwartz, but is it in their personality to deal with all the B.S. that comes with College coaching?
Yeah, for the top 4. I'm not sure what the others ran, there's going to be a video posted on the New Generation TF YouTube in a few days about it though.

Haven't seen much from Josh Edwards this winter. He typically has some solid Indoor runs. Wouldn't be surprised if he dropped a couple monster times this Spring and entered the into this pool of contenders.
Hobbs Kessler is still #1 even though he has not done very much in the last 6 months. 3:34.3 still trumps all others (he has “only” run 3:57.10 this past winter)
New kid on the block is Gary Martin with his 3:57.98 (he was not even mentioned in the thread).
Next is Parker Wolfe due to his 7:52 for 3000m (backed up with 13:41)
Colin would be next with his 3:39.59/3:58.81
Tewalt: 3:59.94/7:56.2/13:43.6
Lex: 7:57.0/13:43.9
Leo: 4:00.7
Question: Are the following U20s (born 2003 and after)
Nathan Green: 3:39.63. If so, then I would put him right behind Colin
Nathan Mountain: 3:40.99/8:39.4 (steeple). If so, then he would come right behind Green.
Lex is certainly the top U18 (born 2005 and after) however.
Nico Young is hardly removed from being an "official" U20 and, hot take here, I think he'll end up the best and most competitive out of everyone on that list. He's just a step below national class - if he develops a kick he is there. Imo he'll be better than both of his brothers despite running slower times than them in high school. Kessler will be great but I don't think he'll improve as much as some people think, although he'll end up running like 3:31-32 when it's all said and done. Colin Sahlman will be good as well and has the potential to be better than Nico, as he has a great finishing kick. Gary Martin will be good as well but tbh it's too early to tell if he's going to be a national class star in the future. The competition between Martin and Sahlman kinda reminds me of the one between Nico Young and Cole Sprout back in 2019, and to be fair both of them turned out pretty darn good.
Sam Ellis is actually born in 2004??? (Dob may17/04). So younger than Colin and will still be a U20 next year. He ran 3:39.54/3:56.87 (at age 17), so I put him in front of Gary Martin.
Confirmed that Nathan Green is still a U20 (dob apr10/03)
i don’t think that Nathan Mountain is still a U20 however.
Bryce Lentz - true freshman at Air Force - just turned 19 this month and ran 8:40 for the steeple to win the MWC. He should be in the mix at U20’s in the steeple

Ya…. crazy progression for Lentz.
8:40.45 and 13:57 in the same meet (first 5000m?). It will be interesting to see what he does in the next month.
That’s top 10 all time U20 (if he really is a U20)

Ok, one more time:
1) Kessler still #1. 3:34.3 last year and has run 3:36.6 at this point this year (uncontested leader)
2) Colin moves back up to second with his 1:48.8 and 3:56.2 combo
3) Martin moves down to #3 even though he improved a bit at the mile. Now 3:57.89 (I can be convinced that he should now rank below Green)
4) Nathan Green. He has not improved on his 3:39.63, but he has qualified for NCAA.
5) Lentz. 8:39.7 steeple (what is his DOB?). Has qualified for NCAA
6) Parker Wolfe. Due to his 7:52/13:41 combo. Is not qualified for NCAA. So he slips behind Green (and Lentz) in my mind
7) Connor Burns. He was not mentioned here before today. 3:58.8
8) Tewalt. 3:59.9/7:56.2. Did not qualify for NCAA.
9) Lex. 7:57.0/13:43.9
10) Hansen. another one who was not mentioned before. 4:00.76
11) Leo. 4:00.77 (yes, it’s that close, so I am adding him).
Hansen and Leo fall off the list if Nathan Mountain is born in 2003.
Burns had the unlucky Dec 31 birthday, so Lex is still the top U18.

are you making age/experience a factor at all or just pure results? because the 3 high school juniors doing what college kids are should be higher than said college kids if it’s the former
