I'm in NYC for Milrose and a huge winter storm is coming. They are telling people to stay home. Just my luck that I travel all the way here and it gets cancelled. Just a heads up and don't be surprised if it doesn't happen.
Heard it here first.

You are aware that the meet is indoors?
For non snarky information, I just saw that the meet will be streamed on peacock in case anyone didn't know this

You are aware you have to drive OUTDOROS to get there? They are talking blizzard conditions with 8-12 feet of snow. NJ declared a state of emergency in advance, NY will soon follow. They are sending people hone early today to beat the storm expected to hit this evening. I'm in Midtown Manhattan right now and it's just starting to snow. It's going to get bad,
OUTDOORS
8-12 INCHES

Same thought crossed my mind. It will literally be tough for the athletes to get there I suspect as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see it get canceled. They already delayed an indoor meet in Boston to Sunday. Given we are expecting 2-3 feet of snow at this point.
The meteorologists are calling it a "bomb cyclone." I'm not really sure what a bomb cyclone is but evidently it's a pretty bad winter storm with a lot of snow and high winds.
It's also on NBC.
Blizzard warning in the Boston area. Unless Gault is heading to NYC now, I don't think he'll make it.
NJ transit has cancelled all bus and tram service Saturday morning already, LIRR has also suspended service. If you live in NJ not near the PATH it will be tough getting in, hopefully the ferry is still in service
Since it’s on NBC it can’t be cancelled. They’ll race NYC down to 4” snow. Boston getting hammered.

NBC caters to the <4" crowd
Good call here
Sucks for the athletes who have to travel a bit. Wake up early, shovel your way out, then drive through the snowstorm. If it's really bad some won't make it.
Whenever I read "cancelled" my mind drifts immediately to Louis CK and Aziz Ansari.
I can promise all of you that Millrose is still happening
If the country liberal narrative reigns, yes. I sure hope not for these kids
The athletes are all in NYC already. It'll happen.
As bill Murray said in ground hog day, it's just a few flakes! 18 in of snow and 60 mph winds is not a blizzard it's called a dusting,
haha stop trying to make every single thing political, it's a snowstorm, idiot

For now. The NY Guvnor declared a weather-related state of emergency for the NYC metro area and the Islanders' Sat home game has been postponed. Enough Millrose facility and support staff might not make it in. A Sunday meet instead?
Races start in less than one hour. The website currently has this statement:
Millrose Website:
Millrose Games Weather Update: We expect the Millrose Game to proceed as scheduled. With the exception of last year's Covid-related cancellation, the Millrose Games has been continuously held for 113 years. All of the athletes are in NYC and will be putting on terrific performances on Saturday. We understand that NYC subways and buses and metro-north railroad expect to run on their normal weekend schedules. We urge all Millrose Games attendees to travel safely and utilize public transportation wherever possible.
