Not over 400 but definitely over 800 where she is less than a second behind. Mu is also not strong on endurance, as her recent efforts in the mile have shown. If Hodgkinson can run in the region of 51-low over 400 she is capable of taking Mu over 2 laps.

Does Hodgkinson have superior endurance? What’s her mile? Better than Mu’s 4:30s?
As a 53/155xx runner that suggests her speed endurance is high. I don't recall that she has recently competed over 1500/mile, as Mu has.

She ran 4:30.00 for 1500 when she was 15, when her 800 PR was 2:06.85. I think a natural extrapolation would indicate she was in 4:0x shape last year, and she could probably run sub-4 soon with a subtle shift in training (or no change, even). A bit of conjecture, of course.
I’m pretty sure she was capable of 52.mid, maybe even 51-high when she ran 1:55.88 though. She ran 52.61 ~3 weeks after the Olympics last year, and of course this 52.45i one week after 1:57.20i.
Let’s say she’s locked in at world #2 at 800 behind a healthy Mu.
Is that worse than trying to compete at 1500 with Kipyegon, Hassan, Muir, Tsegay, et al?
For the foreseeable future, Hodgkinson is a favorite to get a global medal in the 800 every global championships. But she won't be a favorite to get a global medal in the 1500. It's not impossible, but her odds are MUCH better in the 800.
I'm intrigued to know how Keely will tackle today's 400m final ( UK Indoor Championships). She doesn't seem to want to run a blazing first 200m, which would mean she would be playing catch up. Or, maybe, she will be happy just to finish in the top three or four and make the 4x400m team for the World Indoor Champs.
