why are all these people picking Withrow to win/finish top 2-3
he's not even one of the top 2 runners on his team, much less the NCAA!
At WC XC, Ritz and Dobson were "better" than him. Few months prior, Withrow wasn't "good enough" for varsity. At Footlocker, he wasn't the best going in. Going into his 13:35, he wasn't "better" than Solinsky nor "faster" than Rupp. Now he's not top 2 on his team.
Withrow's accomplishments in limited action have been huge and as impressive as anyone.
*Bump*
kiplagat and fagan put in tough efforts on Sat. Don't know about the other regionals, but it may be difficult to recover so quickly to race well on Mon.
McDougal will leave the field at 8.8k!!!!!!!
In a mad sprint to the finish, he will hold on by .37 seconds for the win.
S. Jefferson in the top 10. He's ready.
What is going to be really funny is when all of you McDougal fans realize that he will not win, and bairu wins.

Stop being a dope. This is a bloody race. The best person wins.
I think McDougal is going to win and that is not to take anything away from Bairu.
I've read McDougal's training schedules and the guy is definitely much improved from last year, and last year he was undefeated until NCCA's where he went 13th.
Bairu seems to be still very good, but about the same as last year and without the same shattering-course-records, running-away-from-people-with a stide stitch type ability that McDougal has right now.
It will be a great race. Forget this bitter debate. It's a cross-country discussion, not the freaking crusades.

check out the griak and big 10 results, compare those with the individual winners at notre dame and pre-nats, and then change your mind.
My point is that he has been defeated whereas McDougal has not. McDougal had a bloody stide stitch, eased off, and demolished the CR by former NCAA winner and 13:20 runner Jorge Torres. Bairu has not done anything like that.
I mean no disrespect, and predictions are generally worthless as is most speculation about athletic events that have not happened, but it's fun to guess what will happen.
WHEN THE BADGERS ARE DONE WITH HIM HE WILL HAVE A BRAIN STITCH, HE WILL PROBABLU QUIT THE SPORT.
Wisco is going to crush the field, but I have a hard time picking a winner....Bairu, perhaps, but others have a chance. McDougal as a dark horse, but this guy trains with Jerry Falwell, or someone, right? Hey, I'm Samkon Gado, I went to Liberty as well.
probablu not, doofus. probablu, you're a doofus.
I see your english is improving!
No one's saying Cheseret? I will.
Cheseret.
To think that white boy can outdistance himself from a superior black dude is silly. Bairu is going to kick ass and take names. Kiplagat 2nd.
WATCH BAIRU AT 8.5 km!!!!!
Ha, Gado, love the name.
Jacob Korir of EKU will be top 20, maybe top 15. He has lost only one race this season, and that was a second place behind Mcdougal at Regionals
