Who has the best 1 - 7 combo?
DUKE!
Yo "bellagio" where did you come up with this name. I work there.
I don't know much about the overall field though I know Lambie had a terrific hs career. I did watch Columbia lose last weekend having their 4th runner get chased down at the finish by BC's 5th. I also saw Gwyther take the lead early and tire near the finish. She's one tough kid from a small school so doesn't get the acclaim on these type of posts, but she is the real deal as a runner. Not saying she'll win, but if you want a dark horse...
team scores..
winning after two runners - Columbia
winning after three runners- Colorado
winning after four runners - Notre Dame
win - DUKE
You state O'Neill would smash any of the current women, but O'Neill's records at Yale have been smashed by Donaldson last year, and her Ivy League top times have been broken by Bierbaum and Scherf. You creditability is zero. Do your homework and stop misleading us.
Colorado is great through 3 and 4, they just lack that 5th girl. plus, they always show up at nationals

Too bad the zeigles can't run fast. (i wanted to say faster, but i will leave it at that)
Take a look at Duke's scoring history this season. It has gone like this all year long against nationally ranked teams and I predict it will go something like this at Nationals:
leading after 2 runners - Duke
leading after 3 runners - Duke
leading after 4 runners - Duke
winning - Duke
Duke placed 7 runners before any team placed 2 runners at ACCs. They placed 6 runners before any team placed 3 runners at Regionals (despite the fact that they sat out their #3 & #4 runners).
In the past 4 years, they have always been a team with a lot of talent. The big differences this year is that everyone is healthy, they are much more experienced and they are SUPER CONFIDENT!
Glad we agree on one thing, Duke will win nationals!
I've got 4 things to say.
First, the Molly Huddle fan club has been pounding the table here for years. Give it up. She's one of the most overrated XC runners ever. She's not even the best on her team.
Second, to those who think this is a weak field, just because there isn't a single dominant force like Shalane Flanagan around to completely trounce the field, doesn't mean this is a weak field. If you want to talk weak field compared to previous years, how about the men?
Third, every year there are some surprises but this year Duke wins easily.
Fourth, definitely is not spelled definately -- please stop.
