I think the wind chill was 30 below that day with snow too during the open race. I am wondering what major cross country race was colder?

I think when World XC Champs were held in Boston in 92' at Franklin Park, it was probably around the same conditions. Wejo has a thread on it somewhere on here. Lynn Jennings won that year and the course was covered in snow and was around the -30s I think.
The Wejo thread I was referring to is actually a story done by Jonathan Gault. I just saw it pop up somewhere. https://www.letsrun.com/news/2020/07/i-was-bored-so-i-watched-lynn-jennings-win-1992-world-xc-on-home-soil/
