What a disgusting way of looking at it. Oh, if only they hadn't made such poor choices. If only they choose to be more like you.
Do you think gay people are also 'bringing it on 'themselves.' You sound like a 1950's dad getting ready to put his son through conversion therapy.
Do I think anyone who self-identifies as a woman should be allowed to compete in the female division? No.
But it's more than a little disconcerting to see the website that has posted dozens and dozens of posts on the issue use such disappointing language on the issue.
If you are going to post as much as you do on the issue, and feature numerous headlines on your front page about it, take the time to learn how to speak and think about it with decency and dignity.
The thing I don't get...is why on earth do people like you think that someone would compete as trans just to win some high school or college meets? The way you write these articles 'they are only bringing this on themselves' makes it sound like they are only trans in order to do better in amateur athletics.
If you want to be part of the discussion about clarifying rules and opportunities for trans athletes...great. But leave the finger-pointing "They are only bringing this on themselves" at home.
