He immediately shot down his Twitter account. He was immediately (after meeting with board chair) "retired" which is interesting.....
We didn't even have social media 20 years ago, and harmless jokes like his Tweets were commonplace. If somebody from 2001 was transported to today they would need at least a week to acclimatise to the post cultural revolution rules of conduct.
"Harmless jokes"? Imagine you're a young woman being abused by her coach, when the CEO of the governing body is laughing publicly about stuff like this. It's not going to inspire confidence is it?
The culture of the organization is set at the top (see increasing racism under Trump, and increasing disregard for covid rules in 10 Downing Street). If casual sexualized jokes are part of the culture he's creating, he needs to be retired.
