The top 1/3 are really good. What you expect from collegiate talent. You can tell these athletes were the top in high school. You can tell they are dialed in, they take the sport seriously, they work hard- everything you'd expect from a scholarship athlete.
The rest are just bad, like really bad. There's a huge drop off once you get passed that very top layer of athlete. A huge number of these girls wouldn't even place in a good HS track meet, yet they are receiving scholarship money and competing in the NCAA.
If you are a coach or a parent with a girl that wants to compete in college, there's NO reason she cannot do so. It looks great on a resume, it's fun, it helps pay the freight on tuition- the only reason to NOT do it is you just simply do not want to bother with it.
