Thought I'd share my son's stats this week. It's great to see him sticking with the training; it will be fun to see how the marathon goes. I'm hoping to stay with him on race day, but if he stays healthy and continues to build his mileage, that will be unlikely.

RRR: Sorry to hear of your race troubles, but onward and upward. It is good that you paced the opening 13K very well.
OR: Hope this week goes well for you. You may well bounce back; don't defer your marathon entry just yet. And maybe even if your fitness isn't where you'd like, run anyway -- easy, controlled, just to get back into the game.
jmar: Very nice 20 miles this morning. Great profession those last few miles. Happy birthday tomorrow!
Slow miles: Congrats on that HUGE 800m PR. Especially after the 1-mile race. Wow!
BHViking: Interesting week, with the repeats and a very strong long run. Also interesting to see a speedster like you being able handle a truly easy recovery run. Back in the day, I really struggled to get friends to go EASY. Twenty years later, I met up with an old running buddy who said, "Allen, I remember you taught me how to run slow, and it made ALL the difference!"
Darkwave: Very hopeful signs regarding the hip revelation.
