Just because someone runs a 10.05 doesnt mean you can just assume they can get down to 9.9 or better and contend for medals.
Just because someone jumps 8.25 (which btw is only worth 1192 pts) doesnt mean they can make up the difference and become elite to contend with medals.
And Juvaughn's PR would have won gold. But he didnt jump that. A lot of people didn't. Several people went into that olympic final with PBs above 8.60 and near 8.70. Again, American fans are delusional.
Let me know when he can jump 8.5m, run sub 9.9, or run sub 19.8. Then he's in the mix. Until then, stop being delusional.
