Nike sends gear to leo and lex as well as to a NAU commited Colin salhman. Is this legal? Last I checked after committing to a university you can not accept prize money or free gear, especially unreleased gear.

I'm sure that it's very legal. Is it against some high school amateur rule? Maybe. Nike has given away a lot of free gear to runners at NXN over the years and it hasn't hurt anyone's eligibility.
They didn’t get the unreleased gear. They returned that. They got the top of the line current shoes from Nike with custom colors.
I thought the new NIL rules means it’s open season for companies to give whatever they want to anyone. I know several college football players got and/or were offered $1m+ deals.
So I’m sure a few shoes is fine.
Sahlman has decommitted from NAU and is now attending Oregon. Watch for the Youngs to also commit to Oregon an Nico to transfer to Oregon.
