So recently I tried the new pegasus 37s (air zoom) and they just didn't have the same feel as my pegasus 34s (air zoom). I notice that the material feels weird and I might have purchased a chinese knock off from ebay. Can anyone relay their experiences with the Nike Pegagsus 38s (air zoom) and give me the proper wherewithal to come to a conclusion. thanks guys.
For a daily trainer and same price Puma nitro velocity may be an alternative. To be fair to Pegasus I just got Puma's and only one 9 miler. The Puma did have that lightweight flexible soft cushion that Peg34s had there were perhaps two added bonuses, the run done was at 4degrees F and Puma midsole did not get frozen and PumaGrip was very surefooted if not trail capable.
The Pegasus 38s could be good but because of Zoom with React it may need 50+ miles to wear in.
Also last summer I did manage to get a Pegasus 34 at outlet and 200 miles in the rearfoot zoom popped making them useless. With zoom however that may be expected getting a shoe that's 4+years old...
