Manchin profits bigly from this but West Virginians need an economy of the future. Arizona thought it was getting a real Democrat in Sinema but got a shill for the Republican Party instead. The Senate is broken when they can't even discuss virtually any bills without having 60 votes on one side.
Were you whining about the 60 votes needed last year when the Senate Democrats used the filibuster an all-time record 328 times? No? I didn't think so.
Looking at a map, Arizona is pretty far south. South of Arizona is Mexico.
Two rare Democrats with ethics/integrity...
K. Sinema was not like this decades ago. She was as liberal as other main stream Democrats. K. Sinema is reflecting the beliefs of her donors, not her voters. Joe Manchin clearly does not respect Majority Leader Schumer and Manchin does not respect Biden. Manchin has always been more conservative than most Democrats but Manchin wasn't doing this crap when Reid was Majority Leader and when Obama was President.
My hatred of Sinema's politics just makes her that much hotter. Now I get why people are obsessed with AOC. I just want Kyrsten to stomp all over me in her heels while she blocks the entire progressive agenda. Mommy

This is the best argument for keeping the filibuster. I would rather not have the Republicans be able to pass whatever they want, and they have a big statistical advantage to control the senate. I'm not seeing Biden's strategy working to pass voting rights legislation. I wish they would have found a way to make a deal with Manchin on BBB. I still hope they do.
