I'd highly recommend listening to this if you're interested in hearing about Stewy McSweyn's training.

Great podcast overall - been following for a while of three quality, down to earth Aussie runners
Great episode. It really goes to show that you don't need to flog yourself in training to race well.
I've also been listening to this podcast for the last 2 years. The three boys are entertaining and dish out great advice. The Aussie accents are just a bonus.
Great accents and great Australian slang. Love Inside Running.
IRP is great!
I loved the back to back episodes with info on the training of Jakob (thanks to Kristan from Norway) & Stewy. Two very different approaches that lead both guys to world class performances.

Their training isn't all that different. Solid mileage, around 160km give or take. Heavy emphasis on aerobic development. Not much speed. Constantly training well within themselves, running a lot slower than people would think.
It was good listening to Stewy but the previous episode with Kristian from Norway was even better.
S. McSweyn races 1500m how I imagine Mohammed Farah would have raced 1500m in Olympics and World Champions. M. Farah did not race 1500m in Olympics &/or W.C. because he feared kicking against men with superior 400m & 800m personal bests in big 1500m races. McSweyn races 1500m as if he is afraid. Is he really that slow, 200m/400/600m? Guys are not blowing him away with blinding sprinting speed. McSweyn finishes 1500m races with a 43ish second final 300m. Guys who beat him, coming off the pace are racing final 300m, 41ish second speed. If McSweyn raced slower first 1000m, is he really not capable of 41.xx final 300m? Before McSweyn throws in the towel, 1500m, I would like to see him race off the pace first 2/3 of 1500m races.
