Is it socially acceptable for a relay, at the high school level, to have a celebration dance that becomes iconic to them. This is done in other sports including football celebrations, why do we not see it as commonly in high school running?

Because for some inane reason, TPTB have conspired to make track the most boring it can possibly be... any expression of individuality, personality, or thrill of victory is not allowed. For example, what happens if an anchor on a 4 X 4 impressively overtakes the leaders to win the race and then does a "mic drop" of the baton on the enfield? That team gets DQ'd.
Crazy.
So, no celebrations or dancing will be allowed. Thanks, Boomer.
Let it rip! Track should be fun, let them do their thing. Obviously, they need to be ready to have the dance thrown back at them potentially but it is what it is. Track needs this energy from the 4x1 to the 4x8.
