But sane people should....and the PrimeX is an odd/bad choice for a first marathon. I'd strongly suggest against it. The SL20 is basically a shoe from 1994—old foam, low profile, cheap. The natural progression from that to a supershoe is ....the Next%.
I do really like the Adios Pro2, but it doesn't have anything in common with Adidas's everyday trainers, so there's no in-brand consistency that would advocate for them for OP.
The PrimeX is an enormous (and, fwiw, illegal) hunk of memory foam. It's an exaggerated, somewhat silly shoe. There's no reason to recommend it for someone who hasn't run a marathon and hasn't run in a supershoe.
