    Hi there,

    I am applying to colleges soon enough (I would like to become a physiotherapist or a physical therapist) but would like to apply to colleges abroad, I hope to gain an athletics scholarship in order to attend college as such. It is a bit too late to be applying to the US and as sad as I am, I would like to see if I could apply elsewhere. I want to email colleges (Athletics coaches) in New Zealand but have not found any luck of finding their athletics club or any club/society the college has to offer anywhere. I am also going to be looking into other countries like Canada, Australia, Netherlands and Belgium but would like advise if any on what I should do and if you have any clue with the whole New Zealand thing...

    Running scholarships don't exist in other countries.

    Go to a cheap in-state school or community college if you're worried about costs.

    There are Canadian universities that compete in the NCAA and naia. Those will be your best bet.

    A lot of countries, especially commonwealth countries, have no athletic programs connected to the university. There are clubs that are nearby, even in the same city, but they are not sponsored by the university.

    You might try applying to a university in Germany. There are many programs there that are taught in English and the tuition is very low.

    Where are you from?

    The US NCAA system is unique, and the only athletics system where schools can directly compensate athletes (for tuition and cost of living).

    Anywhere else you are just on a club and free to pursue sponsors, but usually not receiving much financial aid directly.

    Definitely not too late to apply in US, especially if you are a woman. Schools have aid open for athletes who fit their criteria.
