I wear Brooks - the Transcends (now rebranded as the Glycerin GTS) for easy days/long runs, and the Ravenna (now the Launch GTS) for workout days, but open to any brand. I use the Ravennas for all of my races (5k's to the marathon) since it's faster than the Transcend, but there's gotta be something better? Of course there are the carbon plated super shoes but I don't feel like I'm at that level. On the other hand, I am 6'2" and 185, so perhaps they would be helpful given their extensive cushioning (especially for the marathon distance). Also, I'm in the stability category for shoes and the super shoes are neutral. But maybe I can get away with a neutral shoe if it's just for races? Appreciate any suggestions.
