This is hilarious. Schumacher doesn't recruit. Capriotti and his staff did and now his replacement and staff do. Jerry has some say, but the reality is Nike signs the athlete and assigns them to Schumacher.

Yeah like Grant fisher.
That statement is graceful, dignified and perfectly lucid as well as being completely drama or accusation free.
So of course, to male posters triggered by women using words, she must be “nuts.”
I suppose getting stalked and talking about it must mean she’s a man hater who blames her problems on men and therefore deserves hateful treatment here.

Has been rumored on here for a while, but Emily Infeld made it official on her IG - she’s leaving BTC. Has been a rough 6-12 months for their woman’s squad (and not much better for the men’s outside of Woody and Grant). Hopefully a new coaching situation can keep Emily healthy. The talent is undeniable but Jerry could never really keep her healthy for an entire year.

Kieran ran god awful at the Olympics. Centro & Scott both tested positive for the same stuff as Shelby but had it hushed because the levels weren’t as high.
Scott AND Centro both on the same stuff as Shelby ? Why isn't this public knowledge... or is it
Pretty sickening if true

Why anyone would want to be associated with the Burrito Taint Club is beyond me. Best of luck to her. I'm sure she can find success outside of that toxic clvsterfvck of a group.

There is no source. He’s making $hit up in his head, as is per usual on this forum. Some noob states his made up rumor as fact, then the rest of the poorly educated masses take it as truth. It initially started with an instagram kid, whose hero is ironically, mo farah. Bottom line: it’s completely fabricated.
Poor race or not, Kieran made an olympic final. I’d say that’s pretty good.
I second what "Bring the Pain" stated. It's time for her to move to the roads.

Is my source. Go to 1:48:20. This isn’t the first time someone has stated that Scott and Centro tested *hot* but it is the most public source I could find
Hahahaha, you bring in wesfly as your source. My life was better before I knew those guys existed
Oh no, how will they ever replace her production and performance?

That’s nothing more than gossip, dude. Your source is that Wesfly idiot?
It’s hard to judge who is more foolish: you for believing a guy that is a caricature of himself or some blowhard’s “word on the street”.
Again, a rumor gets started by some “influencer”, and it somehow gets taken as the truth. It then spreads like wildfire amongst a very poorly educated group in international athletics that knows only what they read on a trash forum or podcast.

The Marc Scott rumour went around because he hadn't raced for a bit when the Houlihan news came out, and has pulled out of two races last minute. People pointed to Shelby pulling out of Portland Track Festival and the Sound 10 last minute and saying "Scott tested positive too, he is just provisionally suspended like Shelby was so it isn't public but he can't race!"
Except then Scott raced at the Olympics and on the roads after. Then the rumour twisted to "well he wasn't banned, but he tested positive but below a threshold."
But yes, it was a load of nothing based off of conjecture.
Yes and no, but this ties into it being an important transition moment. Nike *does* do the signing and assigning as you say but Schumacher also gets leeway for low stakes development projects who he gets to bring on for small $$ and have a crack at developing. E.g. Woody Kincaid, Kieran Tuntivate.
But my point stands. Nike directs athletes to BTC/NOP and the athlete often gets to choose between them. Pete Julian has added a fistful of new athletes while BTC has had their above limited additions plus the son of Jerry's close friend/agent of half the team. It looks like Nike is either sheparding people to Union Athletic or athletes are choosing Union over BTC.

FWIW, Scott said he had a plantar problem pretty much since he returned to the UK for the 10000m trials. It only started getting better when the muscle tore completely away from the bone, at least that's what he wrote on social media. I don't think he missed any races that he had planned to race, which kind of indicates that he wasn't provisionally suspended at any time

Rumor is that Mike Smith is her new coach.
This. She posted yesterday about doing a 2-tempo session day, a staple of mike smith's program. Plus she is best friends and college teammates with Mike's wife Rachel Schneider who would make a great training partner for her. Wonder if she will move to flag?
Also adds to my surprise that BTC allegedly turned away Ella Donaghu who wanted to join. Seems like at a time when they are in a bit of a drought of American women recruits//a mass exodus, they would be glad to have some new blood who has some promise??

Someone gets it.
Running “influencers” that are wannabes or want to feel important are toxic to the sport that you claim to love. Most have never even met Marc Scott or Matt Centrowitz.
